SPOUSAL MURDER - A Little Ditty...

Updated on April 28, 2013
Just Married
Just Married

Where Did The Love Go?

It seems like divorce is a thing of the past,

There are much better ways to get rid of her fast.

Like turn off her air while scuba diving,

Just an hour or two after arriving!

If you decide it's best to dismember,

keep a small piece of her - just to remember?

And please don't drown her in the pool,

Her very worst fear - that'd be too cruel!

Bacon: Better than Sex
Bacon: Better than Sex

If you feed her to the swine,

She'll return as bacon for you to dine.

Even this shan't stop you though,

You're focused on that new blonde HO!

Why must you shoot her in my head,

While she lays peaceful in your bed?

Why toss her off that mountain cliff,

Just because you had a tiff?

Two go sailing on a choppy sea,

One comes back - and it's not SHE!

If she am sleeping with the fishies,

You get to wash your own damn dishies!

No need to toss her in that well,

In a day or two she'd smell like hell.

Creepy crawlies, dark and wet,

She's not prepared for that just yet!

Give Him The Finger
Give Him The Finger

Please don't feed her to the chipper,

Turn her into food for Flipper.

So many better ways to die,

At ninety-nine - She'll say good-bye!

Her lifeless body stuffed in the trunk,

Don't get stopped for driving drunk!

If hair and blood are to be found,

Lawyers denounce the forensics unsound!

Get a Good Lawyer and Clean up the House
Get a Good Lawyer and Clean up the House

Into the woods we take a nice ride,

Where to dump me, it's time to decide.

You get the best lawyers that money can buy,

They'll screw with the jury - you know you won't fry!

We could be speaking like this of YOUR spouse,

If he isn't willing to give up the house.

I've tried my best here to make it quite clear,

Insane is passing for sane around here!

The End?

Oh my, I wasn't sure whether it was alright to laugh or not, but I couldn't help myself. What a wonderful, wicked sense of humor you have my dear...I would love to know the inspiration for this poem. Thumbs up of course!

I was struggling with whether or not to laugh, or cry! Well done, and your point is reached flawlessly. Sadly, it seems far too many people are turning to foul play against their spouses. It is scary to think about. It's like, oh no, I cannot get a divorce, that would be a disgrace. But murder, not so much! Grrrr!! A lot of it is greed. They want that insurance money. I have to go scream now! Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks friends..I just want to clarify that i'm not completely insane - much of the stanzas refer to actual murder cases gone without justice. AND - my boyfriend helped me write it. HE came up with far too many idea far too quickly...Hmmmmm....

Your poem is indeed darkly humourous.. ...can this be real? But as you just pointed out, it's very real.

I shudder still to see Robert Pickton's cowardly face..one of his victim's brother lives here and wtill fights for the courts to lay charges against Pickton for her murder and dismenberment....and the Paul Bernardo/Tanya house of horrors. It's appaling desecration of the human spirit and indignity to the human soul.

@BreenBergstrome: yes..at least Bernardo is in jail. His ho, Carla is out, living abroad, and happiily married!!! Casey Anthony gets off scott free..and the latest guy who got off without even a trial for killing his wife in australia..shall i go on? About all of them out there right now that are getting away with murder..

If you are insane write some more before you get better. I'm still laughing. My wife, not so much. No, she liked it too. You should get credit for two views here.

Made me laugh a lot at first but then it turned serious. I did not know this is going on these days. Chilly. Scary, too. I think I'd let him have the house if that is the way it is. I know a lady who just got dumped by her dependent husband after he suddenly came into $200,000. I better not send her this because she is suing him for her share of the loot.

Leslie - Although humor is the face value, the darkness of the truth is evident. I don't know if it's because we hear of it happening more today than ever before, or if it happening more today. The evil of mankind has always been there, yet, instead or progressing, we seem to be regressing. Strong poem!

@Rcrumple: Fact hiding in humor - like - body hiding in trunk? Lol..

In fact, Richard - i had to cut out 4...5...6...stanzas - it could have gone on forever, as you know..

and yes - they were all pulled from the headlines - and it IS happening more and more...

it's been proven before - as an economy tanks, people lose hope, civility slackens, base nature's emerge - and bad shit happens...

      Thanks for your support, sir!

Sadly, these days I think murder is easier than suicide. I know someone that is going through a bitter divorce. She is trying to take everything. The marriage lasted a little over two years, and she knew what she was marrying! What a B-tch! Just part ways and forget about it. I am sure he would love to put a bullet in her head. Heck, I hope her hair falls out the next time she dyes it. But unlike that psychos you wrote about, he is not the murdering type.

Heck, I am going through hell with my on again off again boyfriend. We are off again. I think. I am just ignoring him til he goes away. Or until I need someone to hang out with. ugh! Somebody shoot me!

Love the way you take things like this, make them fun, and still make us think.

      Dear Karn,

This is so true...life has such little meaning to some and to take another s life is beyond my comprehension. How can some one murder someone they used to love even if they despise them in the moment. Part ways is right, walk away, material things are just things...not worth it to me...If someone wants him or her ( for the cheating) then I give him/her to them glady...I do not want left overs...good riddens! After reading this interesting and amusing hub again, it reminded me of a little ditty from my past. While having a heated argument with my (at the time) wife, I looked her dead in the eyes (excuse the pun) and said..."Remember the part of our vows that went...til death do us part? Don't make me go there!" Of course the both of us knew I really wouldn't. But I certainly got my point across, and that pretty much ended the discussion. Today we are happily divorced and friends...now that the divorce smoke has cleared.

Beautiful and thought provoking poem .Being divorced or even single, for that matter is often seen as undesirable and tragic. Marriage, in contrast, is seen as a rescue ship from singledom, a guarantee of eternal happiness. But is it true?from my mother s experience ,divorce was the best thing she did. Divorce is not contagious as if it is some awful disease , nor is it hereditary. It is simply a life transition that forces either men or women to challenge everything they thought to be true.Killing the partner is not a change but definitely a transition to darkness.

      Still makes me laugh...

@James-wolve: Divorce is a direct result of settling! Everyone's so terrified that 'THIS' might be the only person who ever 'loves' them - so, whammo - they marry them!

Your comment is right on the money James - but - i'm hoping you also got a little giggle out of this?

It was meant to be a mix of social commentary - and humor!

      No? lol

Nice humorous poem, made me giggle also. I can't understand why this hub is under the Relationship Problems and Advice category. Were you talking serious in that poem?(lol) I would just run, anyway, Happy Valentines Day.

Leslie...You are brilliant, girl! No wonder there are so many movies and TV shows about spousal murder to avoid divorce settlements--it's happening all over the place, far too frequently. The sad part is that most of these creeps can afford the expensive defense attorneys who will use any dirty trick to keep their guilty clients from paying for their foul deeds.

Even when the client isn't rich enough for their fees, defense attorneys who don't care if the person they're defending committed murder as long as they can get him or her off, will take a case just for the extreme media coverage (that leads to lots of rich guilty clients). I presume they think of such cases as "promotional activities."

Keep telling the world about these dirty tricks the way you do it so well. You're in your element when blasting the bastards!

@JayeWisdom: Good morning Jaye, and - please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to your excellent comment!

Please don't think that it's a lack of appreciation - it's just some medical issues i've been having that have yet to get sorted out..

As far as this hub goes - GREED is the wjote elephant in every verse - just as you say!

And, considering the shambles of a legal system - their odds are excellent that they'll get away with it - scot FREE!

Thanks for taking the time, dear - AND for your patience..xx
