Maybe we could focus on something positive for a minute or two.
Fall is here! Thanksgiving and Christmas, right around the corner.
What, in general, are you looking forward to the most right now?

Rain, clouds, dew, frost, storms, lightening, thunder, snow... for California and surrounding areas where drought conditions are persisting relentlessly. Pine trees, oak trees, fruit trees and bushes along the freeways are turning brown and dying one by one. I for one, will not be in the mood for any holiday if this keeps up. We have had summer for five straight months. It has never been this hot for Halloween.

      Positive thinking for rain, please.

Yes, and weirdly enough, Kathryn, so many are not even aware of the drought. When customers complain about rising prices, I remind them of the drought and most of them seem clueless. I have heard that even if you received storms every year, it would take 25 years to recover.

"Prolonged droughts — some of which lasted more than a century — brought thriving civilizations, such as the ancestral Pueblo (Native Americans) of the Four Corners region, to starvation, migration and finally collapse, " Lynn Ingram, a geologist at the University of California-Berkeley, wrote in her recent book The West Without Water.
          ulp yikes!

See reservoir conditions in CA: (caution do not look, if thirsty.)

Consequently, it rained on all the trick or treaters tonight. Not kidding.  And the temp dropped. Finally.

Just read portions of The Secret at work today: to avoid testiness and negativity focus on what you are thankful for.
Isn't this good advice, Sed me, (edit:) bat girl, Beth?

    What am I thankful for?

Being in a country which celebrates holidays and ejoys family traditions. What a great and sweet country this really is.

Has Batgirl been watching Gotham, and if so what does she think?

OH! I really wanted to watch that... I forget to watch TV. My kids commandeer it. My little pony, Minecraft, Arrow... when they go to bed, I watch Netflix, but I forget about regular TV. Did you watch it? Was it good?

Yes, so far they are doing a very good job with the series.    Highly recommended for Batman fans.  You have to watch the episodes in order though as they are definitely developing the characters and the city itself is one.

    Just coming off another thread.

Thank you Lord for your many blessings. We don't do Thanksgiving as a tradition in Jamaica but we do give thanks everyday. I wish I had a turkey!
