Ok, I am not against religion  but, when your talking about something simple and you get quotes out of the bible that vaguely might come close to what you were talking about in a very abstract way,if you stretch your imagination and haven't had coffee yet.
When your having a cranky day and little stuff is bothering you some one says did you ask God for help? I am not going to pray for help over spilled coffee or a flat tire.If there was a big something that was hard to cope with I would.
are you someone that does this? Do people do this to you? Please help me understand.

I have lost jobs, realationships, unlimited and further conversations, many girlfriend, popular votes, ect.. ect..  because I can't be saved.

It is a big deal because 85% of the world is Religious and filled with never ending conflict. I come to this site for a better understanding, yet feel more often than not,  just spinning my wheels.

      Although my writting has improved.

I feel sorry for you, I do believe in God, but I do not go to church,or preach to anyone. I find it terribly uncomfortable when everything has to be read out of the bible and I whole heartedly do not understand it,and furthermore, I know some people that quote it, I don't think they understand it either. My mom's religion/ philosophy was to be a good person, have morals, Be kind, and not to judge others, plus she would talk about grandpa being in heaven and I could believe this or not but she believed it.This is how I choose to let my children choose their beliefs also. This is the only religion I follow.I think the world would be a much happier place if everyone just focused on themselves and not trying to convince others to think the same as they do.The world would be terribly dull if we all thought alike.
My husband doesn't believe in God, but it doesn't bother me because I know he will keep his vows and he is a great guy.And God will see the greatness in his heart.

Well, you won't need to worry about him running away from you, for another God, because he will only worship you.

Have you tried Pastafarianism?  I think it might get you out of your current predicament.  I won't go on about the FSM, he only reaches out his noodley tentacle to those who hear the call.  Give it a quick Google and all will be revealed. smile smile smile

Some people probably can't think for themselves so rely on "god's word" to do their talking for them.

Others probably just live their life according to a particular religion so it's an easy reference. I suppose if you base your life around something it's bound to come up when discussing things.

that is a valid point but I think no matter what subjects politics, humanity it would get frustrating to have it overdone.I do believe that some people have a hard time having individuality with religion.
