I think that girls are more interested in the image they project in the "group" and they put a lot of interest in gossips. Men also gossip, actually they might gossip more than you girls but we don't take it seriously.
Because females are more emotional. They tend to dwell on things more as a result. Guys shrug things off and move on. Female hormones cause us to be more emotional.
