    to the role of the wife in the marriage.  Like, is to 'obey' her husband, HE is the "head' of the home, etc.  is there a hierarchy, as such, in the karaite home?  thanks for taking the time to respond to my questions.

    That one is easy:  I can sum it up as follows in one sentence.

    Ani l'dodi ve dodi li  (the rumour is that Solomon said it to the queen of Sheba)
    Which translates as "I am my beloved and my beloved is mine."  Each one owns the other, meeting each other's needs, helping one another, supporting one another, sharing the tasks, chores, hardships and joys, and always doing it for one reason only; love.
