Have you ever done something good for someone (in secret)?
I remember when I would participate in doing the 12 days of Christmas for needy families. That is the one time when door bell ditching is acceptable. It never failed to reach our ears the gratitude and appreciation that a family had from getting presents when they would otherwise not have gotten any.
Yes, because I know if I do my piety in secret, I'll be doing it in front of my God. His name is 'secret (darkness)' and His son is 'open(light). His son told me that whatever i do in secret will be exposed to the light. That is why I prefer doing good things in secret rather than doing evil, because I know they will all eventually be brought to light one day.
