No it's never okay for someone to put down someone else for their own ego. You need to get that straightened out as soon as possible.
No. Sounds as though he has self esteem problems so he feels better about himself when he puts others down.
No, it is wrong. Anyone with high enough self esteem will joke about himself, and people actually appreciate someone who can "tease" himself/herself.
Absolutly not-that would be dis-respectful.
To laugh, joke ect. in a kind manner is one thing but to put him/her down infront of others is wrong.
