Is it me or is the idea of men wearing white, red or brown shoes with black trousers repulsive?

Definitely not a style statement I would be willing to make, wouldn't wear any of those colors with black or dark blue. Course I'm an Old guy so more fixed in my ways but I can't envision it looking good, just strange. Some like that effect though.

I'm completely oblivious to style, in most cases...so no, not really repulsive. Around here almost all the men wear either work boots or riding boots, and you can't buy a new pair of boots every time you change the color of your pants.

It must be you because repulsive is too strong a word to use for something so petty.

Personally I do not care for brown shoes with black pants.  It depends on the city or country you are in and the occasion as well.  It also depends on the rest of the outfit.  I could see a very outspoken and "style confident" individual choosing red shoes.  White would work if the motif was a monochromatic effect (ie: white sport coat and plain white shirt).

But day to day business attire would be a poor choice.

I'm not a fan of black trousers at all unless they go with a matching dinner jacket. But I don't think any color shoes other than black would look good with black trousers. Black jeans are different. There is a nice artsy, bohemian look on some people to wear black jeans with white shoes.

Life must go on what does it matter. Lack of food warm somewhere safe to live is repulsive.
