Because it is THEIR pain. They only think they handle it better. A woman or a man cannot be the judge of someone Else's pain, pain is personal.

You should have asked the question "why do women have babies and not men"?
    Same answer applies I believe.
They may be stronger in body and physical strength, but when it comes to handling pain itself, they genuinely believe that they are dying.
Women have this in built strength to get on with work or whatever, even though they are suffering badly at the time.
Men, (not all) cannot handle pain, and resort back to wanting their mothers. They genuinely cannot take it.
I do not blame them for this trait, but I think it something out of their control.
I really think they wish themselves that they could handle the pain and sickness better.
Man FLU is also a tragic thing. They do think they are dying and lay about in bed moaning and groaning all day for days.
Women on the other hand, suffer the flu, get on with life and continue their everyday chores etc. etc.

I feel sorry for them, they have no control over it.

Why can women handle physical pain and sickness better than men?

    ANSWER:
the strength of a man is his wellness and health, including fitness and flexibility and manhood

the lack thereof is his weakness, and he cannot handle it.  that includes pain and sickness

because we are made to bear children. we are made to hold more pain then men because we have to go through more. though on the outside we are more soft and gentle, our insides are made to withhold some of the worst pains.

It is not a truth, actually some men and women endure things differently, like some people are more sensitive than others. I would just say that some men are used to being taken care of, so as soon as they have a cold they act like they are dying to be pampered. When a lot of women are care givers and used to enduring quietly or make the less fuss about themselves!
It is cultural and personal at the same time. I know I was with a cold for more than a week and complained two times, kept on moving and taking care of children, home and hubby. Yes, I was giving massages and help to another adult when I was the one who needed it more!
It is almost like, since I have kids, I can't be sick or tired, or i can't act like I am!!!
    It is all about conditioning!

Boys are taught to not cry or appear weak in any situations, especially those that cause certain emotions or reactions. So, they do not want to act like weak girls. When a person fights pain, he hurts more. So, pain is probably more unbearable to a man because he fights to appear strong and in control.

I think that's why women aren't allowed in combat forces. If they allowed they will handle pain and with their strength in hand everybody will make to the end nobody will be dropped so at the end it will be huge problem for the economy when military spending rises. LOL!!!
