Do you honestly think a child can defend themselves from a full grown adult? They can try and all that would happen is the adult would give them time to run away while they are on their butt laughing. Children are allowed, but they physically cannot do it. Children are told to run to other adults because they cannot do it themselves.

they are allowed to defend themselves but the point is if they are able to. The strength varies from child to child.. but usually... physical abuse from adults are quite strong. And a poor child will not be able to defend itself very easily.

Sadly this may be true in too many cases, however this is why we give our police officers the guns and penalties to the criminals. We ought never develop sheepish behaviour when dealing with predators, the sentence is death for people who abuse kids.

Children are technically granted the same protection as adults under the U.S. Constitution. Moreover, most states (that i have lived in) authorize a citizen to use deadly force to defend him/herself or someone else from serious bodily harm or death. Meaning, if you slap your kid around and he shoots you in the face while your sleeping, the case won't be as cut and dry as you would think. There have been several cases wherein an abused child killed the abusive parent after the fact. Of course, a small child will probably just get smacked around until daddy leaves to get his drink on. However, a teenager may be able to legally put up a fight.

CHILDREN HAVE THE RIGHT (RITE) TO DEFEND THEMSELVES AGAINST ABUSE BY ADULTS BY ANY AND ALL MEANS NECESSARY. THE LAW OF SOCIETY SHALL NOT EVER BECOME SO SOFT AND WARPED THAT IT CONDEMNS THE DEATH OF AN ADULT WHO HAS ABUSED A CHILD. IF WE LIVE IN AN OVERPOPULATED SOCIETY WE OUGHT TO ENFORCE THE PENALTY OF DEATH UPON OF THOSE WHOM INFLICT SUFFERING ON CHILDREN. WITHOUT RECOURSE OR QUESTION AND BY A SPEEDY TRIAL.

NO OTHER EXPLAINATION IS NEEDED OR DESIRED.

KNOWINGLY HARMING A CHILD IS A DISGRACEFUL ACT TO OUR SPECIES, AND THERE IS NOT, NOR HAS THERE EVER BEEN, ANY ROOM FOR IT.
IF YOU OR SOMEONE THAT YOU KNOW IS AN ABUSED CHILD CALL A CRISIS HOTLINE CENTER IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT FEEL INTIMIDATED IF YOUR ABUSER IS TELLING YOU THAT IT IS NOT ABUSE. YOU HAVE A CONSCIENCE TO KNOW WHEN THE ABUSE HAS GONE ON LONG ENOUGH.
