How do you deal with your in-laws?
I have a sister-in-law who is very selfish. She has to be the center of attention and she is quite rude. No one in her family stands up to her and it drives me nuts. They don't want to hurt her feelings, but what about everyone else, and isn't it doing a disservice to her. Also, her kids are following closely in her footsteps and I will not stand for my children being treated badly. I need advice, this might not end well.
Stand up for yourself and for your kids, but do it in a diplomatic way. Be smart and say wahtever you have with a calm tone or try to say it in a humorous tone and spice it up with a little irony. Unfortunately, people who are selfish and self-centered often react only to agression. Still, I wouldn't recommend agression at any cost - if you act agressively, you'll end up being guilty for sth because she'll find a way to play the role of a victim. If she gets the message, ok, if not, avoid her or ignore her and let her know why you're doing it
