What is the appropriate way to deal with a micromanaging boss?
Tactfully, gently and firmly..
First you have to appreciate that usually people/bosses do not have time to micromanage. That they do micromanage is an indication of passion and or control. Either way, they want to get involved...begin with that...then add grace..you tell him or her to spend his or her time elsewhere..
