In general, which is the smarter sex?

When it comes to intuition or being able to figure things out, which gender seems to get a handle on things much easier than the other?

I would have to say women are the smarter sex. I don't really know why but it seems to be true.

Personally I believe intelligence cannot be measured according to gender. It comes down to the individual. There are some really bright people of within both sexes.
Another issue would be how one determines intelligence. When I was a kid it was common to hear people say, "If you are so smart, how come you're not rich?" Based upon that theroy one would conclude that since the majority of billionaires and millionaires are men....that would mean men are the "smartest"
However I once had an instructor tell the class, "Intelligience is the ability of an organism to adapt to it's environment". People have been known to succeed in life using "book smarts" and "street smarts" regardless of their sex. Intelligent people always find a way to get the things they need and more often than not the things they want as well.

My opinion is that; men are more practical and women are 'smarter' in general. Men are able to make things less complicated whereas women tend to make them more so. But then the majority of the 'great brains' of the world are men---but now that women have been given the go ahead, they are catching up.

...Intuition is probably woman, figuring things out I'd have to say 50/50 depending on what needs figuring out and getting a handle on things; I'd say men.

    ~so my answer I guess is neither/both

Men. It sometimes takes a good woman to bring out his intellect. Woman rules the emotional world. Fathers in particular, are very intelligent. They understand mothers & daughters.
