How soon before my wedding should I send the invitations?
My wedding is 4 months away and the guests have already been sent save the date e-cards. I am not sure how soon to send the actual invites though. My parents think I should be doing it around now, but some people say leave it a bit longer so it is fresh on people's minds. I like to be organized and also want RSVP's.
Hey Emma, I believe 8 weeks is the recommended timeframe these days. Congratulations to you!

Congratulations to you!
Four weeks is ideal, some people's schedules get pretty full, and you want them to remember it. Probably for the RSVP though, maybe six weeks would be better. But too much farther out, it gets too easy to put aside and forget.
Since you already sent Save the Date cards, people have it on their minds.
