Briefly tell me about your wedding day?

Memorable? Disaster? Fantasy come true? Hilarious? Shotgun? Rushed in planning? Full of gremlins and Murphy's Law? Forced in order to meet familial and societal expectations? Forgettable.
Based on my experience with couples, I'm convinced that the wedding day can be a predicator of how the marriage will work out. I may use your answers in a hub on the subject.

It was wonderful, very small and personal. Me and my hubby chose to go the low-key route. I wore my favorite dress and could not stop crying, it was wonderful.

Definitely a fantasy wedding!  We got married in a private ceremony on the beach in Maui, so it was pretty relaxing.  It was at 9am, so the beach was still nice and quiet.  Getting ready was quick and simple, since I wore a white sarong over a white bikini, and he wore a black sarong.  We stood at the edge of the ocean while the waves splashed our feet, and had a traditional Hawaiian lei exchange in addition to our ring exchange.  Then we enjoyed a romantic week in Maui before going back to the east coast for a fun Hawaiian theme reception of 300 people!  It was the perfect way to have a stress-free ceremony, and stress-free reception!  We're so happy we didn't fall into the guilt of not having anyone there for our vows, and did what felt best for us.  It was so much more meaningful for us, and we were relaxed and ready to party a week later!  This was 13 years ago, and we wish we could do it all again smile

Well I haven't actually had one as of yet, but if I am blessed to have one, I would want a big one, with all the bells and whistles. Let's face it, behind the birth of your kids, this is the most memorable day of your life, so make it big!!

I agree, Alphadogg16! I hope you get your day soon or when it's supposed to happen, with the most awesome person.

My wife and I have been married 29 years. I remember that it was a happy day for both of us. But it you want the nitty gritty details, then you would have to ask my wife. She's the one with a memory like a steel trap.

Sounds good, graceinus. The number of years married correlates with you recalling it as a happy day. Thank you for answering. I'm sure your wife has fond memories, too.
