    Brilliant color everywhere,
    Chili plentiful enough to share,

    Leaves crunching under foot,
    Smokey campfires leaving soot.

    Wearing sweaters in crispy air,
    Cozy firesides without a care.

    Enjoy your fall!  smile

Thanks!  I plan to make a book of my poetry for my grandchildren and need to keep this one in mind…

The first thing that I think of is crisp, cool, fresh air.

    Halloween stuff in every store
    Scary movies on TV
    Lots of leaves to rake
Pumpkin flavoring suddenly turning up in EVERYTHING at the grocery store (coffee, baked goods, beer, ice cream, etc.)

The word "October" sparks quite a fury of thoughts in me....all positive.
I think of my favorite season of all, "Autumn."   Taking rides to the rural areas of hills, farms and mountains where the view is breathtaking, the air crisp and clean.
My 3rd son's birthday is Oct. 30th..  Even though my sons are adults, I still like to make it a special day for them however I can.
With 12 grandchildren, "Halloween" is fun and hectic!   I also enjoy working in the yard, raking leaves and planting mums.
"October" also reminds me that it won't be long before mean old, cold Mr. Winter parks himself in our way to doing much of anything!
So, besides preparing for the long Holiday Season, I know I must prepare for my "hibernation"  period!   Good question.

U2's second album.  Highly recommended.  I like the weather in October, so combined with the album, good things come to mind.
