   When hearing the word beauty, what is the first thing that comes to mind ?
   
   I was relaxing, sort of meditating today, just watching the trees gracefully swaying in the wind, I noticed real beauty.  I see beauty in nature and natural things, I see beauty in graceful lines and art.  Where do you see beauty ? And, when you hear the word beauty, what is the first thing that comes to mind ?

      To me also the eternal beauty of nature is the first thing that comes to mind whenever I think of beauty. It is a real art of god, the creator. As John Ruskin said, "Nature is painting for us, day after day, pictures of infinite beauty".

   the first thing that comes to mind is 'black' I don't know what that means regarding word association but it is the tying of black to beauty as in the horse or book.

   Beauty to me lies in the satin cold of the stones perched about a graveyard.  Beauty as well as history.  Victorian tombstones, tall statues that guard the not-so-active residents of the area...

   This may sound more poetic than it is, but when I heard the word beauty, I see nothing. At first. And then my imagination slowly fills it with images of people or things I think are beautiful.

   Pleasure.  Any thing, place, person, situation can be beautiful and there is no clear definition of why you find them beautiful.  All I know is that, when seeing or touching or hearing something I find beautiful I feel intense pleasure.  Hearing the word 'beauty' always, even fleetingly, gives me pleasure.

    I think of Oguni, Yamagata, Japan. To me, that is the most beautiful place in the world. The fog sets in at night, and reflects the most intriguing colors as the sun rises at dawn. Everything is so green in the mountain and mirrors so nicely in the river. At night it is so calm and the frogs sing all night long. I am such a city girl, but that few months in the country was lovely~

    PEACE.
    
    It means quietness and relaxation of comfort position. It will be imaginary of beautiful white cloud with formation of animals showing peace of togetherness.
    
    That is what I get when doing meditation.
    
    I feel the air fresher as each breath being taken. Quietness in the surrounding that gives me the peace and relaxation.
    
    So, it is the peace that will be in mind when the word beauty is said.

    My Grandmother's touch.......
    
    
    The softness of her work weary hands across my face.
    
    closing my eyes, and drifting backwards................I feel their softness, I see the headboard of her bed................a woman's intimate place.........showcasing the simple things that are important to her.............the softness of her bed covers......letting no man soil or displace them, not even her own revered husband.   There is  a man's world and then there is a woman's......even in her defined world, she drew the boundary, giving my Grandpa his due, and accepting her own just worth.
    
    
    
    
    
    
    Her face was wrinkled, even at our first meeting, when I was but very, very young, the lines  that greated me, she did not expect me to change........her hardships had begun to make their way across her face...they were etched there, before my coming, she accepted this......
    to her children, it may haved seemed, easy, soft,  or stern and demanding, there for the taking..........to my own eyes..............her face...........was kindness, understanding, forgiveness...............welcoming...............home
    
    
    
    
    My Grandmother's face....................soft, kind, forgiving, welcoming.....................20t years later..................I can still see it, aspire to it.....want to be it........................I remember, how and  when she told me,     .........every wrinkle is a place where a smile has been..................she was very wrinkled, but she was so  soft to the touch..desite her very hard working hands.   Closing my eyes, relaxing my mind..........I can FEEL her touch........I CAN smell her scent............
    
    
    To linger on..........THAT is beauty.
    
    
    beauty is NOT about eye shadow, liner or lipstick................laidies, you need to know this...........beauty is about welcoming others and  the kindness you show them...........

    I think about an evening in 1986. I was standing on the beach where I lived in So. Cal surf fishing and the sun had dropped to the point where it was just a orange / purple ball sinking into the sea. Two dolphins leaped in perfect synchronicity forming parentheses on either side of the sun.
    But I see great beauty in so many things it is hard to say that one is somehow better than another.

    To be honest, I think about the first unattractive thing that come to mind. And then I would stew about why it is unattractive until I figure out why, then conclude afterwards that it was silly of myself to have made that judgement in the first place, because it was an attractive thing/person/object all along. I think that's how prejudice starts when you assume that something is not attractive right off the bat without reason.

    There are many different things I think of when I think of beauty.  Of course outer physical beauty is easy to recognize but I also see beauty in nature: the way a butterfly flitters about the flowers, or waves crashing against a shoreline.  Beauty also comes out in baby's smiles and a delicious home cooked meal.  So, for me, beauty is like a tree with many branches extending into several different directions.

    The first thing that comes to mind when I think of the word beauty is a multicolored, vibrant field of poppies, and wild flowers in late spring. There's something innately, and uniquely beautiful about nature.

    Transcendence; the state of being beyond the realm of what we can feel with our immediate senses. The feeling of complete peace and calmness inside myself and with the environment around me. Beauty lies in moments, in memories, in scents, and in sounds. It lies in the details, the small things in life often over looked in our busy day to day lives. Beauty can be found in everything from nature, to people, to the strange. Beauty is what happens when we open ourselves up to the world and allow for all miracles and possibilities to be experienced.

    'Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder' that's what comes to my mind first when I hear the word 'Beauty'.so, the definition and perception of beauty differs from person to person. I feel that if you are a positive and cheerful person yourself then you feel the beauty of other things.
