Prince William and Kate latest wedding memorabilia - And a few facts that you might not know!

Updated on February 24, 2016

William and Kate Latest wedding Memorabilia

The wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton is well under way, and we all know what that means! Royal Family fever! William and Kate Latest wedding memorabilia has just hit the shops!

I know most of you won't be able to be here in person, so what better way than to buy something to remember the great day! The William and Kate wedding will be a great day out, the crowds will be surging, the majority of London will be there singing along, and cheering.

So, like thousands of other people I will be stocking up with William and Kate wedding memorabilia. So what are we talking about? Well, let me paint a picture of what good old London is going to look like on that great day.

There will be crowds of people rushing to the stores and markets set up along the high streets, grabbing what they can of the Royal Wedding memorabilia. Cups, Tea towels, Jugs, and so on. But we can't all be there. Hopefully I will manage to get there, but if I can't I will be buying a few things to remember that day.

I remember our lovely Princess Diana on her wedding day. It was such a magical feeling watching for the first time, a new member of the Royal Family walk down that aisle. And the cheering! Wow! It was fantastic!

Prince William gave his wife to be his own mother's engagement ring to remember her, and as he said in his own words, 'This will make sure that my mother is there with us at the wedding'. How beautiful.

I am sure Diana is still watching how they are getting on, and admiring her beautiful grand children. This ring is a message of love, I am sure you would all love to own it.

Available sizes are 6-7-8-9.

A Few Facts That You Might Not Know!

Did you know how Kate caught the eye of the Prince of England? No? She was strutting her stuff at a Charity fashion show back in 2001. And guess what she was wearing! A black bandeau, bikini bottoms, and a sheer little black dress! Evidently William tried to steal a kiss afterwards, but she wasn't having any of it! Kate told him she was dating someone else!

They actually shared a house together in their second year at Uni, but were dating other people so kept it very platonic!

Kate is purely middle class. In other words she has no royal blood of any sort. She is just like the rest of us, apart from the fact that her parents made loads of money with their family party plan business!

When they broke up for a while, Kate kept her head down, and instead of staying with William at the College, she skittered home to her mum! Evidently her mother told her to 'get home and give him some space'! Great advice mum! Seems to have worked out!

After the wedding, Kate will be known as Princess Katherine. As Prince William will be possible made a Duke, she will also have the title of Duchess. And of course when they ascend to the throne, Kate will be known as Queen Katherine.

When Kate walks down the aisle, she will be the oldest Royal bride in History! At 29 years old, she far excels the other royal bride's who have nearly always been in their late teens or early twenties!

Kate will be the 6th Queen Katherine in History.

And last but not least, because of all the other Royal weddings going, well, wrong, Kate and William may be the first Royals in History to sign a pre-nuptial agreement! Very romantic, I'm sure!

A Royal Love Story.

This fascinating book tells the story of how a Prince met and fell in love with the girl who will be England's future Queen. From the first meeting in College, totheir breaking up.

Of harrowing car chases and making up again amongst the media interest and the public eye. Fascinating reading.

And of course since then they have produced to beautiful children!

I liked Kate Middleton until I found she did not invite President Obama and wife to the Wedding. Kate is no commoner her great great grandfather was Arthur Middleton (A signer of the Declaration of Independence) who ancestor's came from England in the early 1600's. 90% of the blacks in America, ancestor came through one of The Middleton Plantations. Arthur's father Henry own over 900 hundred slaves. I was willing to forget this, but By not inviting The President, I think she hasn't.

Nell, I hope you don't take my comment as an insult, but i just can't get excited about so much money being spent when there are so many people all over world who are hungry. I think they are a very good looking couple. I really loved Princess Diana. I do wish the very best for Kate and William. Your hub is well written and up-beat. I like that.

      Cheers

Oh, this is just too romantic! I love the biographies of British kings and queens, and, of course, all fresh news about them. I pray that William and Kate will be blessed with peace and happiness. They are a beautiful couple. I will never get over Lady Di’s death – my heart breaks when I see her children, knowing she would have been so proud of them. I loved this hub, Nel, and voted it UP in all ways.

I remember watching the wedding of William’s mother, Princess Diana, and now we are given the opportunity to see her first born marry the woman he loves. There is magic in this. I had no idea that Kate is the oldest bride Royale bride. Thanks for this interesting and fun hub.

Magically Romantic, wont be making a fuss and travelling to London but will probably watch on TV as I did when Charles and Diana got wed. It's not every day we have a royal wedding is it??

      Great Hub

Hi, Fay, thanks so much, it is funny, this time around I don't think people are as interested, maybe it is because we loved Diana so much, or maybe it is because we know that people haven't got a lot of money these days, so maybe resent it a bit, I am still not sure myself, I am looking forward to watching it, but I don't think we know Kate enough yet to see what she will be like, thanks again nell

Hi, Nan, thanks so much for stopping by, I do think they make a good couple, but I must admit to liking William best as he is so much like his mother, thanks nell

Hi, Rose, I had no idea! I did wonder why President Obama wasn't coming, I presumed it was because of security, I wonder if Kate knows herself? interesting, you should write a hub about it, thanks for the added information, cheers nell

I loved Princess Diana. They did her wrong. because she stood up and told about how her husband didn't love her and the way he treated her, very bad. They try to say her mind was off. Charles even marry his mistress as Diana looked on from her grave. No one should wear that ring. It just must be bad luck.

Hi, Ruby, I do agree with you, it does make me cringe slightly, but that is the thing with British royalty, they will still go one, until we decide we don't want them any more, I suppose that the good thing about the royals is that they bring in lots of tourists each year, so maybe it balances it up, who knows? thanks as always nell

Hi, shygirl, thanks for reading it, I am glad you liked it, that was the first time in the video that I heard kate speak! lol cheers nell

Hi, Martie, thanks, I loved Diana too, it is such a shame that she can't be there, I do think william looks like her, cheers nell

Hi, Genna, I never realised it either! I suppose these days women are more cautious to marry, even if it is a prince! lol thanks again nell

Hi, smackins, I will be watching too! I tend to watch the crowd more though! lol it fascinates me to see so many people cheering for something like that! thanks again nell

Hi, Rose, thanks for coming back, I totally agree with you, poor Diana was treated so badly, she was such a sweet little thing, I agree with you about the ring, I thought that when I saw him give it to her on TV! Not a good idea! lol thanks again

Thanks for an interesting hub and also for the video. I haven't seen an interview with William and Kate before. They sound more down to earth than many other members of the royal family. I hope their marriage is successful - we'll just have to wait and see.

The ring never had a male owner who use it for love. Only Diana who never received the love she gave out. William might have broken the curse by really be in love. Diana will be at his wedding.
