Healing Scriptures

Does God still heal today? Absolutely! The bible says:

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

One of the more well known healing stories in the bible, is with a woman with an issue of blood that she suffered from for 12 years. She said "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed." When she touched his cloak Jesus turned around and said "your faith has healed you." She was immediately healed because of her faith. (Matthew 9:20-22)

Faith is needed to receive healing! "...faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ." Romans 10:17

Get in the bible and see what God says about healing. Put it in your heart by reading it, saying it aloud and meditating on it. Expect healing because Jesus died on the cross for it.

• "Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me." Psalm 30:2
• "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Psalm 147:3
• "Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security." Jeremiah 33:6
• "I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done." Psalm 118:17
• "And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you." Romans 8:11
• "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him. and by his wounds we are healed." Isaiah 53:5
• "...Let it be done just as your believed it would. And his servant was healed at that moment" Matthew 8:13
• "He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed." 1 Peter 2:24
• "Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you." Exodus 23:25
• "He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases." Matthew 8:17
• "My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one's whole body." Proverbs 4:20-22
• "Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases." Psalm 103:2-3
• "Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard." Isaiah 58:8
• "... they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." Mark 16:18
• "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." James 5:16
• "Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise." Jeremiah 17:14

God already promised you healing. The ball is in your court to expect it and receive it. Don't be discouraged if it doesn't happen overnight, because it may happen gradually. Put these verses in your heart and God will come through and do his part.

Remember: "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." Sickness and disease is not from God. He wants us to live an abundant life and that means in every aspect: finances, relationships, and healing!
