It's Good To Know

God has given us so much through Jesus. As born-again Believers we are tremendously blessed with wonderful promises from the Lord. Once we know what we have, we can walk boldly and in our authority.

Here is a short list of some of the things we have in Christ.

And a few things that WE HAVE:

1. We have victory-But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Cororithians 15:57

2. We have confident, bold and have access to God - In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. Ephesians 3:12

3. We have power and authority over the devil – Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19

4. We have an inheritance in Christ -In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: Ephesians 1:11

5. We have power working in us -Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:20

6. We have the mind of Christ – Let this mind also be in you that was in Christ Jesus Philippians 2:5

7. We have life through Christ - In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 1John 4:9

8. We have the promise to be like Him - Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:2

9. We have been given power, love and a sound mind – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

10. We have eternal life - For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

11. We have joy in God - And not only [so], but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. Romans 5:11

12. We have justification through Christ - Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Romans 3:24

13. We have a sound-mind - For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

14. We have prosperity –But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

15. We have spiritual weapons - (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 2 Corinthians 10:4

The Word Works

Have you noticed when you read the Word of God how the atmosphere around you changes. It becomes super-charged and suddenly "stupid stuff" no longer seems important....If you haven't had this experience try reading the Word out-loud. It won't take reading very many scriptures before you will experience the supernatural power of the Word of God.

It's a Good Thing.

I am totally in agreement with you that reading the WORD changes you and your attitude to what's happening around you. Thank you also for the reminder of all those necessities for the Christian life that Christ Himself has given us.

Being New Creatures in Christ, we live off an entirely different grid to those who have not entered into the Kingdom. New Creatures that require a whole new manner of sustenance. Like solar panels need Sunlight tooperate , so we need to draw our fuel from the word of God and soak from His energizing Presence to reap the benefits promised to us. When we avail ourselves of this necessary privilege, we become joy filled OVER COMERS , running over in the abundant life through Christ. Why run on empty when we can fill up anytime and keep filling up for FREE!!!!!

      Unchained,

You wrote, "Complacency before and confusion after the fact are the compilation of defeat and as it continues, it becomes the basis for operating from a defensive mode all the time which means you are in a reactionary mode as opposed to a proactive mode from a natural and spiritual standpoint.

I agree entirely. The Lord wants us to have the mind to move forward and knock the devils down who get in our way. He doesn't want us to have an attitude of defense. True we have weapons that we use to defend ourselves but they should get more use from our being on the attack.

      Thanks for your comments.....

This is truly an inspirational Hub for any who have been in the Word at any level. Sometimes, those of us who claim to be 'in the Word' suffer a complacency believing they've read what they need to read and so therefore, what's the point?

Point is complacency is the foundation for defeat. It is the foundational invitation for an attack. Witness 9/11. Complacency before and confusion after the fact are the compilation of defeat and as it continues, it becomes the basis for operating from a defensive mode all the time which means you are in a reactionary mode as opposed to a proactive mode from a natural and spiritual standpoint.

Over convidence is a booby trap we set for ourselves. A trap satan is only to happy to help us spring.

Since our strength, wisdom, perseverance and understanding should come from His Word and not ourselves, staying in the Word keeps us from being stuck in stupid.
