Further hints of allegory come from various locations in the Bible, that the sun, moon, stars and planets are meant to be for signs, seasons, and knowledge. We know from the Bible that the three wise mean followed a star in order to find the upcoming king of Israel. From archaeology, we know of the existence of the Antikythera mechanism that is remarkable in that it appears to be a finished and refined product rather than a work in progress. It is described in Roman and Greek literature, but was regarded as a myth until the discovery of one a century ago, encased in sea life sediment for thousands of years. Under X-ray analysis, it was found to be a fine clockwork mechanism that shows signs of highly accurate machining that were regarded as a development of 19th century technology. Using the original, a modern day counterpart was meticulously manufactured and tested and found to be highly accurate for what it does. It plots the suns annual movement, the phases of the moon, the positions of the five visible known planets and can predict eclipses very accurately. This one device shows that there was a skill level that existed in ancient times that was lost over the following centuries only to be painstakingly rediscovered with the advent of the Renaissance and industrial revolution. As the Antikythera mechanism is now known to be a real ancient clockwork orrey, it makes many people wonder what else existed by way of mechanical devices that we read about in world myths. It is quite possible that this mechanism was used to plot significant star, sun and moon positions for the purpose of astrological revelation. One may have been used by the three magi/astrologers to locate the most likely candidate of a significant birth that stood a chance of being a history altering person. We know from modern calculations, that there was such a time in 7 BCE during a major planetary alignment that correlates well with known history and the accounts in the Gospels. An inkling of that knowledge is handed down to us via the Gospels and tells us that the ancients were sky obsessed.

“The heavens declare the glory of God: and the firmament showeth his handiwork Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.” Psalm 19:1 – 8

This passage tells us of the universality of the language of nature and no one can claim “ownership” or prior and better understanding or better position over others. The vision of the heavens are available to anyone for the looking and linking that to the earth, that many ancients did in their struggle to grasp the fundamental relationship between the heavens and the earth and used that knowledge for prognostication. That the vision differs from place to place and time to time, tells us that the full can only be appreciated if we all work together as one.

“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” Luke 21:25

Herein we see a picture of a blood red moon that is the partial eclipse of Saturday June 26^th, 2010 that influenced the grand cross alignment of planets depicted in the chart above. In Revelation we read of a blood red moon and a sun “black as sackcloth of hair.

The above quote from Jesus tells us that there are times of great shake ups and cataclysms in the earth as have been before and that they will come again. These are accompanied by signs in the heavens that link to the earth. This is an idea becoming increasingly accepted, especially with contemporary understanding of impacts like Tungeska in 1908 and SL-9 on Jupiter in 1994. Historically, we are aware of the great disasters of 1646 BCE, 79 AD, 535 AD, 1815, 1883 and 2004. These events affect nature and humanity, that similarly react to the events with horror and helplessness and sometimes in revolt. We are also aware that great earth shaking events cause social unrest in its wake as seen in the post Katrina aftermath of New Orleans in the late summer of 2005. Often, great upheavals are followed by plagues, pestilence and death, as recorded in the Bible of the plagues on Egypt during what the Egyptians called in the Hyksos expulsion. The cosmos is vast and entirely out of the reach of mankind to control. As an example of signs in the sun, moon and stars, we offer this example of the skies as they were during the Malaysian tsunami that negatively impacted 1/6^th of the world with a quarter million deaths, more homeless, famine and disease in its wake. Notice that the quake and tsunami struck at dawn with the sun linked with the ascendant-east point just above the east horizon and the moon just setting. In addition, a group of four closely linked planets is above the sun, namely Mercury, Venus, Mars and Neptune. Jupiter is in the mid-heaven forming a square to the sun and moon. Two weeks before the event, locals noticed changes in the animal population and disposition. Just before, birds would not roost and elephants ran screaming away from the coast and toward the hills, as did dogs and other animals. Only the people were taken by surprise because they did not heed what the ancients knew and what the animals sensed. These are the signs in the sun, moon and stars for this time near the winter solstice, when the earth is near its closest approach to the sun. Enormous changes occurred for this region that were Biblical in proportion. With the current changes going on in the earth with the current geomagnetic reversal and other upcoming signs in the heavens, we wonder what will come to cause men's hearts to fail with fear. In addition, with the nuclear weapons proliferation of various nations, we wonder what desperation will force some to do. The climate is changing and despite geo-engineering, many people are already suffering from famine and migration.

“To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted; A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away; A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak; A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 NKJV; Acts 11:28;

“The wind goes toward the south, And turns around to the north; The wind whirls about continually, And comes again on its circuit. All the rivers run into the sea, Yet the sea is not full; To the place from which the rivers come, There they return again. All things are full of labor; Man cannot express it. The eye is not satisfied with seeing, Nor the ear filled with hearing. That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 1:6-9 NKJV

Ecclesiastes gives us a vision of dialectical materialism in operation. This also tells us that dialectics operates in cycles as well as evolving, though “there is nothing new under the sun” as stated in the text. This much is true, even as far as technology is concerned as we learn more about the sophisticated technology of the ancients. Some among the Marxists actually deny cycles, stating that it is always progressing, moving upward and forward toward some great conclusion and climax, but an examination of history tells us that even here, cycles of a complex sort are in operation. Nor is nature trapped in endless rounds of repetitive events as geologic and natural history testify. It is a complex mix of evolutionary progress and cycles and this is how dialectical materialism works. Is it God intervening in the cosmos to whip humanity into shape? If we see God as the sum of nature, the answer is both yes and no. It is yes in as far as humanity needs to learn to take care of one another and co-operate in over to overcome disasters. It is no insofar is that this not some self fulfilling prophecy as often orchestrated by rulers in order to baffle and terrify the people.
