What do you love and hate about Taurus?

Well I am a Taurus, however one big characteristic I keep hearing about Taurus, is the fact that they love material stuff.

I must be on the other side of that, as I am not materialistic at all. Even when I had quite a abundance in my life, yes I loved it but I was the kind to always pay it forward with what we had or to help others.

I know God has a plan for me now and an abundance for me that has been answered for the situation and I plan on paying it forward. However yes its been awhile since i had nice stuff, and yes I would love to have that, but it is not for my own personal gain, it is for the pleasure of being able to help others at the same time. especially my family.

So with that said, there is not one thing I dislike about a Taurus. I am stubborn and I can be opinionated, however I do it in the kindness of ways that God allows me to be.  I do not let anyone rule over me, since I do not believe anyone is better than anyone else. The only authority and high there is in the world is Our Savior

I agree about materialism.  In my experience of Taureans I don't  find  them particularly materialistic. I would say that they seem to like a reserve of money for a rainy day. They like to own nice things  but they are not grossly avaricious.

Taurus, Fixed Earth, is no-nonsense. At the right moments, a rigid, unbending standard is exactly what's needed to resist the enormous amount of pliability that exists in the world.

Other times it becomes an oppressive obstacle where you can't get anywhere. It's stable but dull. It also becomes the breeding ground for the said pliabilities. One learns that their constitution isn't as formidable as they thought.

The material emphasis is actually a desire for a bottom line. It doesn't mean wealth or luxury necessarily. Many Taurus' are decidedly anti-material, anti-capitalist, anti-consumerist ie. Karl Marx and George Carlin. It's simply meant to offset the empty talk and wasted energy that sometimes typifies its neighboring signs Gemini and Aries. Whereas many Taurus' do not employ a bottom line and becomes too flexible, that is how those other signs then factor in.

That's when you realize that you can't have BS without the Bull!

I've never thought of Taurus in that way ..... your points about Taurus sometimes being dull and the empty talk/wasted energy. Taurus is an Earth sign so they are very practical so the bottom line thing would make sense. Thanks for your opinions smile
