Christians: which authors do you subscribe to?
Are you more of a Max Lucado, Philip Yancey, Ravi Zaccharias, Joel Osteen, Bruce Wilkinson, Kay Arthur, Elizabeth Elliot, Barbara Johnson - kind of person?
none that you mention teach scriptural truth. They all teach perverted "church of men" doctrines of devils. They do a good job though of doing exactly what the original apostles warned us to beware of. False doctrines that tickle the ears for those that do not learn scripture for themselves.
1 Peter 4:17, 2 Peter 2, 1John 4, 2 John 7-11 and many more
Oh, I disagree on 2 of those authors. I have found Yancey and Zaccharias very scripturally sound. Osteen and Wilkinson are too commercial for me - I have to doubt anything that makes it in the top 10 of NYTimes best sellers!! Meh to the others.
I stand behind my original post. None of them understand what new testament Christianity is. And they all are supporters of the" apostate church system of men" which God detests
Thank you for your response. Best wishes on your hubpages journey.
Ravi Zaccharias is not a false teacher. He speaks the truth and is also a great apologist. Most of the others are false teachers and the rest I've never heard of.
I love listening to John Piper, RC Sproul, Matt Chandler, and Francis Chan.
Reading profiles makes things ever so much clearer.

I like Ravi Zaccharias, as well, and the few Philip Yancey books I've read were pretty spot on. (I've read Piper and Sproul, too, but haven't heard of Chandler or Chan.) The rest on my list are ones I found "too popular" aka as NO WAY!
Absolutely! "The world loves their own." Chandler and Chan are fantastic and godly men. I highly recommend looking them up on YouTube.

Name things that Christians think about Atheists that are false. You know what this question is about - let's have another responding question to the other self-ingratiating questions up here; because that is how silly HP has this 'most popular' front page laid out. They SHOULD be actual Hubs that...

I knw Jesus has a very respected place in Islam, So is Moses. Both are considered prophet & messengers of God in Islam. But how do Christians & Jews explain the prophethood of Mohammad? I know some take him as the messenger of Satan while some think he was a lunatic pervert. What about the...

This might have been suggested before, but it would be awesome if people could subscribe to a hubber's hubs by topic, not just to all of them. When a hubber writes on a lot of different subjects, followers will often be interested in just one of those subjects and get irritated when they get 50...
