Many Christians claim they know God.
My Hindu friends claim, you are closer to God, by not claiming to know God
I dont particularly agree either way, but I certainly think its being more honest to oneself and others to not claim absolutes when there is currently no way to show that they are in indeed absolute.

If God is omnipresent, why do you say you need to get 'closer' to him like he's far away? If you accept Jesus into your heart, getting closer to him invalidates the moment of conversion.

Especially the vocal ones, like the ones we all know on HP. Atheism is just a stage you go through before you truly find God. That's one of the reasons I love you guys so much.

If God is Almighty, Omnipotent, All knowing etc.etc, why he do not stop the bad things his children are doing (especially in his name) and the bad things happening with his children?

I don't think absolute power is even a technical possibility but if it is does that make God absolutely corrupt?
