If there is one God, and he talks to man and man listens, why are there so many different religions?
And even within a religion, there are usually many denominations. Why is it so?
The problem is not with God, It's with man. Each one of us grow up in a certain kind of environment with a certain kind of family. As we grow, we then have certain kinds of friends. Along the way, as our minds develop, we develop a certain kind of expectation that we impose upon life around us. Therefore, as adults trying to ask the great questions of life, reality is filtered through everyones own perception of what life is or should be, not what really is. This "perception" has been changing and altering determined by emotions and other physical stimulus. Thus, the one God may contact an individual and it becomes the persons responsibility to allow God to do His will. You see, it is our will that gets in the way of Gods will being done in our lives. Through the ages, there has been men who wanted only what they wanted. These men have been found in very influential positions as time goes on. It is the evil of these mens hearts that has brought these issues about. They argue about this truth and that truth and tend to forget the one truth that unites us all, LOVE! I hope that sheds some light on the matter.
