What would you say if a friend invited you to worship with him/her at his/her church and you...
don't attend church at the moment?
If you don't want to go, just let the friend know that you're uncomfortable with going...any good friend and understanding human being should accept that answer and let it go at that, while perhaps letting you know that the invite still stands in case you decide you'd like to go at a later date.
No way, why don't we do something worthwhile, like go get a beer, instead?
i've been in this position and all i tell them is i'm an athiest so i'd rather not.
I would confidently tell 'MY FRIEND' that "Hey, I appreciate the invite. Eventhough I talk like I'm heavily active in one, I'm currently not attending church at this time.
