Qur'an Burning: In God's or America's name?
Each time Pastor Terry Jones is interviewed on TV, he uses the words 'American people' more than he does 'God' or 'Jesus.' Doesn't this therefore fimply that his crazy publicity stunt is more in revenge for injuring the pride of the United States?
Personally, I think that he is setting a bad example for what christian behavior should be like. Jesus would certainly never do anything like that! Turning over tables in the Temple is about as hostile as He got! And that's cos they were using his Fathers house as a marketplace!
TV evangelists: especially in America where some people (the happy clappy - born again types) seem to have a hard time spotting a con man coming, make mega bucks.
If you ask me this was a bid for fame and fortune - he was trying to cash in on the wave of Islamophobia that is sweeping through the American media at the moment.
