Right answer and so is this one too.

"Is there anyone around who knows God's Spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing?" has been answered: Christ knows, and we have Christ's Mind and Spirit."

“Who can know the Lord’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?” But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ."

"Has anyone ever known the thoughts of the Lord or given him advice?" But we understand what Christ is thinking."

OK, I only asked why in sincerity. smile

His mind is the way He thought and taught, very simple.
You can read what that is and find out volumes about His mindset for sure.

It is the mind that discerns truth for one thing.
It is the mind that loves too.
It is the mind of service as well.
His mind is not a religion, nor is it anything "man made."
His mind is love that gives light that opens to truth that shows the way to The Father.

His mind tests the spirits and thoughts of all mankind and discerns the intentions and motives too. It looks into the heart and not the outward appearence, it cannot be fooled or hoodwinked.

He spoke very openly and with great plain-ness of speech for the most part, but not all have an ear that can hear what He taught.

He speaks like a friend does at the dinner table many times. big_smile

Seems to me that only Christ can have the mind of Christ. And since he's now gone, it's gonna be a continual argument to figure out if we can understand his mind. Hence, the arguments we see here, all too plentiful.

      1. quietnessandtrust profile image61

"For, "Who can know what the Lord is thinking? Who can give him counsel?"
But we can understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ." 1 Cor 2:16

Let's say you knew your grandfather really well and were very close to him and "knew his mind" because he taught you and...he "is gone" now...

Can you not still have his mind within yours? smile
Can you not "hear his voice"?...when you recall what he said to you at times?

        1. Daniel Carter profile image61
Daniel Carterposted 14 years agoin reply to this

I was around my grandfather. I knew him in first person. Christ didn't write, only people who followed him. I've never met him, and the only idea I have about who he is is based on the writings, observations and opinions of others. So, with all due respect, the comparison you make doesn't work for me.

          1. quietnessandtrust profile image61
quietnessandtrustposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Do you find fault with what is written that He said?
Have you read what He said?
The judge in a court does not write down what he says, so what?
            Someone does it for him.

Enough of the mind of Christ has been writen, if you want to know His mind, study it, ask for understanding of it.
If you don't want to know, then move along and forget about it. No big deal.

So it is only these few who read it? Surely you would not agree in not saying anything at all to anyone right?

Jesus said he would have died on that cross even if it were for only one.

Maybe there is but only one who reads and comes to know truth, I think it then worth a few uncomfortable ones (those uncomfortable with it), getting "pushed away". Those that have ears, will hear, those that have eyes, will see".

Jesus taught over and over again much the same message to the masses and you best believe there were ones "pushed away" from it, yet He continued to spread the message anyway.

Now, when you speak of where the Bible lays out for us to share and then "wipe the dust from your feet", you are taking into account that circumstance when we are speaking to someone on an intimate, one on one basis. Not when you are speaking to the masses or in a mass venue like, online where there are literally millions upon millions to read it.

Often professors ask questions to facilitate discussion, allow interaction, hear opinions, or test knowledge of students. "Who has the mind of Christ?" Is not such a question.

        1. quietnessandtrust profile image61
quietnessandtrustposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Each and every single solitary question MESSIAH ever asked...HE knew the answer to. Many of them did make way for interaction, many did NOT because no body knew the answer.

This question I asked has already caused discussion, opinions are posted.

When MESSIAH heard an incorrect answer, HE reproved it.

If HE made a statement and someone challenged HIM, He took them on until they questioned HIM no more.

          This is how students learn.

Many tried to counsel HIM, but could NOT, not even the most brilliant minds of the day. This still holds fast today. smile

I already said "I am NOT HE"

      and I already said

“Who can know the Lord’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?” But we understand these things, for I / we have the mind of Christ.

That does NOT "make me" THE MESSIAH, just says I have HIS mind. smile

If the way I title a forum of my own choosing bothers you, you do not need to reply, that is your choice.

Just like going to McDonald's or Denny's.

If you do not like the way they make they're sign and you are hungry, then go without food and be proud of the fact the you avoided the sign while your belly screamed, "nobody asked you to eat the sign"!!! smile

If you want to continue with your analogy then the way you behave is like an inconsiderate militant vegan standing in front of a McDonalds screaming at people for eating meat and murdering cows.

I'm going into McDonalds to get a meal, not to be annoyed.

            It's called consideration.

Well to me all the +=>~^*~^* have nothing to do with the question at hand.

Do I have the mind of Christ? Absolutely I do, He freely gave it to me.

He does this for any that come to Him and confess Him as Lord and King and who worship Him as the only God, for those who love Him as He has loved them and gave His life for them.
I will say this too. Many a believer I meet do NOT access His mind in all that they say and do though.
They still have the ability to think in the old mind instead of having the mind transformed and renewed by the mind of Christ.
This can take much time to learn, just as someone would who changed they're mind about being a drunk, a pimp or embezzling business man.

At any time they can "resort back to" the old mind, even for a moment.
