We have Pagan festivals, why not have a Rejoice in the Lord Festival?
What would it look like from the heavens to see a festival initiated by God's AGAPE, love where everyone who believed in God could go to a festival and celebrate our commonality in our love for God, embracing each other, nondenominational churches, muslim and christian. Anyone with this common goal in mind no matter sexuality, illness, stage in life could come and celebrate the one true God.
Why couldn't we get together and not talk about our differences and celebrate how we love the same God? Still searching my heart for why that can't happen, loves. We serve the same God and can't get together for one day to do that?
The Pharasees and the like that were religious leaders keeping the law of Moses after the Messiah was evident. He was right there but they were blind. The first century church was suppose to bring people together and eventually they failed miserably, that's why we really have divisions.
Here's my take on this "one accord"
Ac 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Ac 2:46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
Ro 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
I Cor. 12:12 and ff For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?
20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.
21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:
jason r manning stated that every day you wake up to healthy food, shelter, clothing etc. then went on to state that pagans have no justice to look forward to. REALLY.
i guess the kid has never looked at the world. starvation, lack of shelters and clothing, child slave labour, etc. etc. etc.
we athiests have the greatest justice of all bud. we don't spend our lives trying to pretend that in the end we go to never-never land and live forever but rather we make each day a great day because in the end it's over but thanks for your kind christian words.

I am a Christian, and this weekend holds much significance for me. We celebrate the most important event that has happened on this earth. Although this article may be controversial, I am grateful for my beliefs in the Savior, Jesus Christ, his mission and his atonement. You can read this article...

Many say that the origins of Easter are pagan and therefore Christians should not celebrate it.I am curious as to how others feel about this and what their opinions are.

What is the worst festival for you and why? There are some festivals and celebrations which someone may not like. So what is that for you if there is any?Mine is Indian festival Holi - festival of colors which I do not like at all. To be honest I find it little messy. This is nothing to disrespect...
