What are the responsibilities of an elder of the Presbyterian Church
As elders we are responsible for the spiritual welfare of the congregation. We assist the minister by running services and preaching. We serve the bread and the wine on communion Sundays. We are also part of the pastoral visiting team. I am also the treasurer for the church because I am the only one who has some experience in accounting. I hope this helps.
Though I do not know explicitly, it occurs to me that one could not go wrong my reading First and Second Timothy and abiding by those guidelines.
