I BELIEVE IT TAKES DESPERATION TO COME TO GOD WHICH IN TURN FILLS US WITH HUMILITY .

Because within us there are the elements, just as the scriptures state we 'are made in Gods image.' Of course it is not us being God, or god's, but having an ability to percieve things, do things in a righteous way. Humility is needed in a Godless world, and those that follow Gods directives will not fare badly in the years facing mankind, sadly some will not have humility just oversize ego's, they will find it difficult finding the narrow road leading to life.

I hear you. Humility is surely needed because meekness and humility is God's Cure for our Pride, our ego.

This is an attitude or quality of mind [Acts 20:19] whereby a person holds low esteem or opinion of his own goodness and importance.

Spiritually, one abases himself because he realizes his sinfulness and therefore he is willing to depend on God to meet His needs.

It causes us to look up and realize that we are so low in hind sight to God and having humility keeps us depended on God and that we are lost without God. Lost in every possible way.
For me I say I am lost without Jesus and I and God know that. It's settled. It's not a guessing game for me anymore. It's the truth.

I hope this helps. Be blessed.

Through faith and prayer, reading the Bible,. Seeking him out by drawing close to others who know and love him is a good place to start. I miss read the question. I thought is said humanity, oh well, still a great answer.

Lucifer, Satan, had no humility thinking himself equal to or even better than God. When God proved him wrong, Lucifer was cast out of heaven.
