...the Westboro Baptist Church? Is it a religion? A cult? I honestly do not even know how to react to such madness, and I'd like the opinion of some other religious-minded people.

Anything that promotes hate in the name of God seems to be a - umm - mistake to me...
That's what I thought, too, Misha! It's like they made it all backwards. They don't even insist that God loves THEM, just that he hates everyone else. I can't understand that. They thank God for dead soldiers but not for the daily blessings in their lives? This makes no sense to any other religious or spiritual practice I've ever encountered.
