    If we are spiritual beings why do we strive so hard to cultivate our physical?

    Through cultivation of my spirit all else will fall in place

    Because humans are visual beings. Take away our sight, and maybe we'd try less to maintain our physical appearance. But if you cultivate the spiritual AND the physical, your standard of living will jump up tremendously. Don't disregard one for the other.

    Angels and Demons are spiritual beings. Humans are both spiritual and physical. Man has to grow both physically as well as spiritually. It is not evil to cultivate our physical self at the same time growing spiritually.

    We are spiritual beings having a physical experience.  We need not strive so hard to cultivate the physical body.  We should take good care of our healt so we are able to live a long live where we can carry our our duties.

    Cultivation of the spirit is more important than the cultivation of the body because the spirit is eternal and the body is temporary.  Take good care of both, but remember which is more imporatant.
