"A purpose of human life, no matter who is controlling it, is to love whoever is around to be loved." - Kurt Vonnegut

Our purpose is to awaken as spiritual beings. But also to love one another.

These physical bodies may be temporary, but they give us a chance to have continuity of consciousness in an otherwise chaotic nightmare of spiritual "death."

If you've ever been outside of your body and seen the world around you without Homo sapiens eyes, you will know with a certainty that you are not your physical body. That's pretty cool.

And when you start to remember events from hundreds or even thousands of years ago, then it really gets interesting.

You ask a question to which there is literally no answer. Leave religion aside, I mean think logically. No one knows. Just live. I don't believe we are here to pray all our lives so we go to heaven. We haven't truly done anything to deserve hell. The sinners should and are being punished here. They deserve it.
Everything was created for us before we came or 'landed' on earth or maybe other planets. So you should ask the trees, the mountains, the animals - the earth itself  of their purpose on earth. This earth was 'created' for us and, therefore, to live and die is the purpose.
There are things that have no logical questions. Atleast, there are religions which claim to have answers to such major questions.

Revelation 4:11  "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."

It is very clear we are created for the pleasure of God. We please Him by believing in Him.

Hebrews 11:6  "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

God desires that we trust Him and take Him at His Word. Through our relationship with Him and obedience to His Word, we demonstrate that we believe that He is and that He has our best interest at heart. When we live in accordance with this, we both please Him and bring glory to His name. This is the chief purpose of mankind.
