How can we be sure the things in the Quran were unknown at the time of writing?
There are scientific points in the Quran that people claim were unknown the people of the time therefore the revelations must be from Allah, however, how do we KNOW they didn't know them? The Romans for example, knew a lot, such as the exact circumference of the earth, yet we wouldn't think it! It's just that these cultures were very oral related so things weren't documented so much.. perhaps they did in fact know these things in the time of Muhammad and we are simply underestimating them?
You've got a point . I too strongly feel that the ancients were far more capable and advanced than we now are. May be we just fail to realize this fact.
