   What talents, gifts, and abilities has God given you?
   
   Mine are caring, listening, agreeing with myself, understanding and wanting to know more.  (I used this question from a lesson book called Boundaries).

   I find such thinking difficult. That you would assert that a god picks and chooses those people to bestow certain qualities on and at the same time ignores others. That 'good' qualities are given to a few chosen and bad traits are given to others seems to negate the idea of a free will.. That one person may be born with a malfunctioning brain causing him to kill and yet another born with the talent to be empathetic, does not bear up to a loving god, but rather one of a sadistic nature.
   Can you straighten me out here?

      I guess than you are saying that this is of a personal nature and that if I ask this type of question, there are some who would be negative about answering.  That wasn't my attempt, I thought it would break the ice so to speak.  Yes we have free will

      patty--The history of theistic belief is written in the blood of Man. There is no fluff and puff here, but agony. A god given free will is a contradiction to gifting some and not others.
      Only those who have a problem w/the premise

   I pray and study the scriptures a lot.  I feel that I am blessed with lots of gifts and talents.  I have a listening ear and lots of people seek it.  I have a gift of communicating well with students, and I love to learn.  I have a kind heart that attracts others to me, and I love people.  Additionally, I love to write, play piano (not a real talent for me, but I like it a lot LOL) and I have a knack for analyzing literature for deeper meanings.  I think everyone has gifts and talents and some find and use them well, and others ignore them and never find out that they are there.  I believe God gives them to us all.  Thanks for asking such a thought provoking question.

      It is good to study the scriptures, I must say I have a Favorite, or use to for one reason or another "Corinthians".  That was something I was going through at the time.  And I agree we all are gifted with talents.  Thanks for stopping by Ms. Dancy
