Suppose God Comes as a race other than your own? How would you feel?

Suppose One day the God That you worship descended on earth as a different race other than yours...what would you do? how would you feel? Eg God comes as a Chinese man

I wouldn't care.  I like the fact that no one has a picture of what Jesus really looks like.

Ok, but would it seem that he favors one race over the other?

In OT but thank Jesus for the shedding of his blood, Galatians 3:28 says "There is neither Jew nor Greek..for ye are all ONE in Christ Jesus!"

God is a Spirit!  John 4:24 says "God is a Spirit; and they that worship him "MUST" worship him in spirit and in truth;..."  With that in mind, in the dispensation in which we currently live, we worship in spirit as we will when He appears.

I John 3:2 says "Beloved, now are we the children of God, and IT DOTH NOT YET APPEAR WHAT WE SHALL BE, but we know that, when he shall appear, WE SHALL BE LIKE HIM; FOR WE SHALL "SEE" HIM AS HE IS."  Not "seeing" with "carnal eyes" but with our "spiritual eyes!"  Since this is a spiritual journey, He shall be as "WE" see him in our spirit! So He'll be whatever color your spirit is!  Mystery?  Read in the spirit!

For now, I Corinthians 13:9-12 applies which says "(9) For we know IN PART, and we prophesy IN PART. (10) But when that which is perfect is come, THEN THAT WHICH IS IN PART SHALL BE DONE AWAY.(11) When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. (Became spiritual!)  (12) FOR NOW WE SEE IN A MIRROR, DARKLY; but then, face to face; NOW I KNOW IN PART, but "THEN SHALL I KNOW" EVEN AS ALSO I AM KNOWN."

IN CHRIST, we are no longer "carnal" but "spiritual!"  Galatians 5:16 says "Walk in the Spirit..." which means do "everything" in the Spirit of God or to put it "carnally" do what the Word of God says "...and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh!"

We are spiritual beings, worshiping a SPIRIT that knows us and when He comes, we shall know!  (The Mystery!)  Read II Timothy 2:15!  Blessings!

There are many almanacs across the planet that depict God or Jesus as  blue, eyed man with tall hair. His mural is massive in many catholic churches

In other churches as well! However, that's because "religion" has "blinded" people who don't Study but follow "tradition!" II Tim 2:15 says STUDY!John saw n Rev 1:13-14 wool hair bronze feet. They forgot to chg that! However, in the eye of the beholder!

Hi there! I honestly wouldnt care, I just want to know that I will be going to heaven. I think that when we start to look at race, it becomes a problem so I really dont.

It has always been about race and God when it come onto religion. it is just a topic many shy away from discussing

No!  "MAN" has made it about race!  Being "IN JESUS" is about being in the Spirit!  We are ALL spirits, not races!  Until we ALL see that, topics like these will continue to be discussed which is foolishness!

God is a god and not a human. Why would we expect God to be of a race we could recognize and understand anyway?

I expect we would all perceive God differently anyway and would likely all see them as our own race because that would be the most comfortable for us as mortals and least jarring.

That is so right. I can assure you that many people have a deep grip on god being of their race. They just don't say it

For me, they say God is a spirit. but if that spirit chooses to manifest to the world as a Chinese it simply would tell the common human mind that God's favor race is Chinese or Chinese is gods people or that the Chinese must be superior to us if God comes as one of them. I would like to see God manifest as my race.....but would love to see him manifest as a human rainbow!

me neither, it doesn't matter what race or color of the skin that God's has. As long he is GOD, that matters

I wonder how people of mixed race and/or in mixed marriages think about this concept of God being one race. I wonder how he would appear to them. I personally believe that God would be all races to all people. That God's resemblance would be a mixture of all mankind without ability to know what race God is.

I think of the "one drop" concept and think of one million drops. Our human arrogance may just cause some people to believe God is "their" race and how sad that is for them.

God is my race and your's and your's and your's ........

Its strange that you would ask such a question. In my community, we already think that God is a different race than our own.  As an African American, are you not aware of this?
I cant even think of the son of God as being anything other than the picture that I was indoctrinated to believe.  I would be a liar if I said otherwise.  Then there is the Sistine Chapel, showing God, appearing blatantly as a race different from mine.   ????
So, quite the contrary, it would be inconsistent with my indoctrination if God turned out to be my OWN race!

Yes Getitrite!  Who/What indoctrinated u? They certainly fooled u!  Sistine Chapel = Man-Made! Study the Scriptures! II Tim 2:15.  What we? They didn't fool this African American! Learn to "Walk in the Spirit!"  He will 'teach u ALL things! Jn 14:26

Unfortunately the scriptures you speak of are not from any credible sources, therefore my comment stands. Plus, your comment is actual proof that you have in fact been fooled into believing what my slaves ancestors were forced to accept. Mind tricks!

Rm 1:28.  Unfortunate!  However, I am "benefiting" from my belief?  How about u? No One "forces" anyone to believe, not even I!
