Childhood: What "someone or something" are you missing from your childhood?
My mother. I could only see her "on occasion" until I was nine. Those few memories still live within my mind and heart. When I was nine, she died, so I never saw her again. I still miss her now, and I am over 70.
I don't know what to say....no one would understand how that is for you..I bet though you have become a great mother to others even though they aren't your children. Then so many have felt loved because of you.. never forget the gift you have given..
It was too late to edit or delete the above when it hit me that what I had written here was too 'heavy' and not fair on others. But you handled it so gracefully and kindly ThreeKeys. Thank you.
I really miss the music of my childhood era.
The only other thing I miss was how vibrant my tastes buds were.
Either the way we grow and manage food has changed or it's true what they say that the older we become our taste buds deaden.
Overall in my opinion being an self-reliant adult trumps being a powerless child any day of the week!
There's nothing I miss about childhood that would make me want to go back.
