Isaiah 45:7 pretty much says it all.
Nothing exists without being created by God.
(Assuming one believes what is written in the scriptures.)
Ptosis I believe that many people basically feel that God is Love. There are several things reported that Jesus said that lead to this conclusion. There are others but assuming Jesus was not lying this one is good enough: 1 John 4:8 "Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love."
And then there is the whole part about God being in you: John 10:34 "“Is it not written in your Law I said, you are gods’?"
Now I do not provide those as proof. I provide them as a foundation of belief. If we love then God is working in us. If we are not loving then God is not working in us and that is where bad human conduct comes in. Like when you and I argue and throw insults - not love and not God.
As for tragic natural type disasters. That is the way God designed the earth. You can think of it this way. If people were not so stupid as to live right on the coast line Tsunami's would not be bad. If we did not put 1Billion in a desert we would not suffer drought. If we did not have so many children they would not die of horrible things.
Man has free will that is the design. And it is not to say that man always chooses love or never does.
Yes just as I allow my son to fall in order to learn so God lets us, in love.
Thank you. I was in a really dark place when I wrote that Q.

Ptosis I think you and I get dark when common sense makes no sense.Common is not always mental. When Hyperbole is more important. You steer a good ship. You go after issues and concepts and give me pause for thought rather than response.
Hi Ptosis, I am not going to quote to you from the holy books, but I would ask you to look around you and see the magnificent love of mothers in all species. If God is not Merciful, then who provides all creatures with Mercy and love?
This question is intentionally inflammatory. Questioning God's will or our own free-will is nothing new, however, most that ask don't actually want an answer. It would be like having a wife and keeping her locked in the basement and forcing her to love you, or allowing her to go as she pleases and her choosing to love you. If she has no choice then you will never know if she truly loves you or is doing it because you made her. God has allowed us to go as we please, because He wants us to choose Him, not be forced to be with Him. The answer to this question is that we have free-will. God gave us choice. If bad consequences were removed from our options to choose from, then we would no longer have free-will, and we would be no different than the sun or a tree in how God dictates our lives. God is not impotent, evil, or imaginary. The answers to our questions are not always those that we want to hear, but the beauty of it all is that God has created you with the free-will to choose how you will respond and react to this comment.
Thank you for you answer. I did not intentionally inflame your reaction to this question. You chose to react that way in a perfectly logical manner without emotion or defensiveness. ( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°)
I am not inflamed. The question itself is meant to incite confrontation. I know you didn't create the question. It has been around for some time. I try to always respond with love...by choice

Do you consider the devastation from the tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, etc., 'Acts of God' ?If the Bible teaches that God is love, how do you reconcile causing death and destruction with being a loving God? What about Satan? He is called the ruler of this earth? What part does he play in the...

Is God a vengeful God? If I don't believe, am I condemned to 'burn'?If I lead a life where I am selfless, constantly help people, give away my money and live in a 'Christian' way, will I still be condemned to 'burn' if I simply don't believe in God?

How do we know if we understand the correct context when we study the Holy Bible?I have often wonder why we sometimes if not often misunderstand the context of chapters and/or verses when we study God's word. One can read a verse or chapter a number of times believing they understand it's meaning ,...
