Only a few will find yoga every generation, the true yoga that mundane yoga only mimics. You can not bring true yoga on by doing regular yoga. Why do you think many many people practice it all their lives, only to fail at enlightenment? Enlightenment is just consciousness evolution, and will happen when you are ready, and will probably happen whether you like it or not.
True. We are all Love's children and It will not leave anyone unrealised. Vivekananda taught the essence of Yoga in the West, but the latter teachers coming to the West, altered it as it's philosophy was not so popular. Om Shanti!
Probably. I can't stand the "God is LOve nonsense. God is everything, and everything is not love.
Is light not love?
Didn't everything come out of light:
life / light / love?
Consider that atoms are not solid.
Man is not wired in head to experience what he calls "god", because he can only experience within his limited ability to form concepts. We are talking about an unfathomable reality -- but yes, we are intellectually arrogant beings who have ready answers for everything, capable of having a different deity per every religion.
Psychologically we are not disciplined, advanced enough to be truly spiritual, to explore our unused potential, to grow beyond our yesteryear's selves -- but we can be very articulate with our mental constructs about spirituality.
"Love" is an experience, not an item for discussions, you can't verbalize love, like you can't verbalize the taste of strawberries.
The same is true about our spirituality, and our inner realization of the divine. Spirituality is not communicable, it's an experience at its individually reached level of attainment.
But then, yes, no one can prevent us to "know all about it". I don't, and maybe this not-knowing makes me closer to ultimate knowing.
but isn't that what Yoga seeks to do?
allow us to join God and realize our potential?
- Potential, which I believe all of us
truly have.
Yoga just like that is a physical exercise but when it is coupled with calm and meditation then only it leads to enlightenment. The primary condition for enlightenment is that one should be willing for it in true sense and Yoga helps in that to some extent. But Yoga is not the only tool for that. There are many in every society, I believe, but most of them are connected through the route of worshipping only.
- what is "enlightenment?"
If worship is part of enlightenment,
how so?

Why do some people consider yoga anti-Christian?Recently, I spoke with a Christian friend about doing yoga. Her response was negative. She asked me why I would want to do something that is against the Christian religion. I had no idea Christians looked at yoga in such a negative way. My friend...

Everyone dies, but not everyone livesWe have pushed Death away from Life, the dying away from the living - all in order to impose the illusion of control on the uncertainty of change. We have lost touch with the natural world and with our place in it as mortal animals. We have forgotten "how...

Yoga is one of the best ways to find God. That's it's entire purpose. Do a little research. Yoga isn't about stretching or getting in shape. The whole point is to get into a state of meditation where you can ultimately reach enlightenment. Especially Hatha Yoga.
