Here we have video proof (from a creation scientist no less) that the world is only 6000 years old.

    I love this guy.

C'mon we all know that the earth was created on Sunday, 23 October 4004 B.C. at 9 o'clock A.M. British time. Archbishop Usher James Ussher said so in the 17th Century, so it must be true. So comply and believe!!!

Did anyone catch what he actually said?
He did not prove how old the earth is.
He merely highlighted the genealogy of humanity or perhaps this wave of humanity.

I did think the tie was fun though.

      James.

Haha. Slap a fancy name on anyone and they become an expert with expert knowledge. People will actually believe this because we have been taught to not trust our own reason but experts' opinions. sad.
Another point. I think the whole creation myth is actually another "creation" of the world from previous ages.. Some brahmans speak of having histories of 3-4 past ages here going back about 20000 years. So 6000 was just a new "upgrade" from the old into the "new age." I think the allegorical proof of this new creation in Genesis just being the next age on earth is the fact that Adam and Eve are already adults in the garden. No childhood at all meaning humanity was WELL on its way by then as a species. I also think that the "two" people Adam and Eve can represent an entire population of people when you think about it reasonably.

That's not possible, Adam and Eve were naked homo sapiens 6000 years ago. The only convincing part for me, is Dr' John looks like a homo sapiens and shows how christian man has evolved into what he is today.

I enjoyed the math lesson. He estimated the age of the world by dividing the number of people alive today in half every (50 Years). He just pulled that one out of the sky. How many 50 year old pregnent woman do we see around. Unfortunately people believe what they want to believe.

    1. Randy Godwin profile image60

Because if he didn't use the number "50" his math would not fit his intended conclusion.  What an idiot!  roll

The lab coat carries many hidden magical  figures to impress a person in grade two or to someone who is religiously impaired.

He also look like he has not evolve much himself, it could be his ears or maybe his knuckle are still dragging along the ground

"Religiously impaired".  I believe this is a good description for many believers posting on these forums, CP.  Not all, but most of them. smile

No one knows how many people died, whole families, wiped out due to disease, war, genocide and natural calamities. Gobekli Tepi is older than 6000 years. Discover reported deep sea fishing going on forty thousand years ago in Australia.that kinda messes up a lot of theories. Deep sea fishing requires something more than a log to float on.

An old school friend of mine is a Young Earth Creationist and yet he studied geology at a secular college. Yeah go figure. He got most upset with me when I said I was taking my brontosaurus for a walk. There is a significant number of 'scientists' that push this idea on numerous websites, but the trouble is, they only submit their work for peer review by other creationists as secular scientists are under the deception of satan.

John claims that T REX roomed the earth just a few 100s years ago or 1000s of years ago, get or take a 100 or 1000 or so.

The written language was invented 5000 years ago. you would think someone would have written about someone being eaten by one of these dragons.

They have cave paintings dating back over 15,000 years. You'd of thought that somebody would have drawn a dinosaur. I wonder why they never did? Maybe they just forgot? big_smile

      Kenny, that was awesome!
Why, if humans have been around for 250k years, or even 10% of that time, why didn't they paint even a single cave picture or carve rocks into dino idols, like they did tons of items...Makes one wonder.

There is no telling how many believers use that silly man's video to prove the bible is factual!  After all, they don't need much to bolster their mythical novel. cool

Of all the ancient fictional stories of fantasy and myth, I'd give the Bible a bad review becasue of the all contradictions and bigotry. I'd recommend Beowulf or the Illiad. instead.

If kids were not forced to attend religious indoctrination until the age of 15, the silly beliefs would soon die out because the children would be too smart to fall for the bible nonsense.  It should be considered child abuse, in my opinion.

I saw a video a while ago where they had a fossil of two human hand prints and the guy in the lab coat said he thought they were the hand prints of someone who was alive at the time of Noahs flood and on seeing the flood coming towards him, ran away and fell over making the two hand prints in some clay.

I wish I wish I knew where that video was.
