Why is there nothing written in the Bible about his life except his birth and miraculous work? How come he doesn't have a book in the Bible written by his hands and in his own words?

The authors of the New Testament knew Jesus well. Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, & James were deciples.A lot of the New  Testament is composed of the 4 Gospels & letters written by the deciples to the different churches.

I grew up in church, my grandmother was a devout christian. It's not that I don't believe, I am just questioning my beliefs and trying to find answers in what to believe again. The churches here are corrupt so I don't go. They seemed fueled by greed. They don't treat the patrons as they should. They seem hypocritical and full of themselves. If you aren't exactly like them, then you don't belong. How can anyone be so sure that God exists in this day and time when there are no signs of him being in the world we live in?

there are thousands of signs everywhere you look ... things which you take for granted. forget about the people in the church ... read yourself and understand it as best you can. asking questions is good.

Jesus was real as the Bible states. He is spoken of from the very beginning to the very end. His "shadows" and "types" are shown and are very clear in the Old and New Testaments.

As for what others say about the writers of the NT not knowing Jesus - well- that is incorrect!  At least in it's original form - the men who put our bible together (KJV, Bishops, Geneva and etc) did not of course know Jesus - however the Holy Spirit inspired all the Bible and the writings in it were of course written by men but the Holy Spirit worked through them to bring it to us. As we know, years later thew scrolls and writings were carefully translated and put into "book" form.

Job, is actually the first book in the world ever to be written and Moses aided Job in the writing of this book, it is believed -

Matthew, Mark, Luke, John certainly knew Jesus. John was in fact the last Disciple to die, who walked with Jesus and when he died he was 90 years old.

Mark was not always present during the entirety of events but he did know Jesus and Luke helped him to write his book "Mark".

At any rate, Jesus walked the earth as a sinless and perfect man for 33 and 1/2 years. He then GAVE His life for all who would accept Him and believe on Him (Romans 10:9-13) - there are many who now follow and promote "another Jesus" and we must ever hear the cry of the watchman and avoid these at all cost!

More than just the Bible has recorded that a man named Jesus lived for approximately 33 years and was executed by the Romans.  Roman historians have mentioned Him many times, and long before the Bible was collected, and this can be verified.

FLAVIUS JOSEPHUS, “Jewish Antiquities”, book 18, Chapter 3, paragraphs 1-5. Paragraph 3(63):
“Now there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man; for he was a doer of wonderful works, a teacher of such men as receive the truth with pleasure. He drew over to him both many of the Jews and many of the Gentiles. He was [the] Christ. And when Pilate, at the suggestion of the principal men among us, had condemned him to the CROSS , those that loved him at the first did not forsake him; for he appeared to them alive again the third day , as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him. And the tribe of Christians, so named for him, are not extinct at this day.”

Note: Some details may have been added by pious Christians later, but the crucifixion was in the original.

*TACITUS, The Annals, book XV, chapter 44
"Nero fastened the guilt and inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme PENALTY during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus".[in Latin, “Nero subdidit reos et quaesitissimis poenis adfecit quos per flagitia invisos vulgus Christianos appellabat. Auctor nominis eius Christus Tiberio imperitante per procuratorem Pontium Pilatum SUPPLICIO adfectus erat].

The ways of God are far above the ways of man. I think perhaps the reason Jesus didn't write His own book is because God wanted us to make a choice to have faith or not - and in fact Jesus did write a book because He is part of the Godhead and He is the Word. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1)

Also, what added value would it have provided? People will always be skeptical, demanding "proof," no matter how much evidence is laid before them.

Creation in itself should be sufficient proof.

Isn't it more impressive that over 40 authors from different walks of life and with different styles of writing wrote a book over a period of 1500 years that is perfectly unified with a common theme and message? That in itself is nothing short of miraculous. But had a single man written such a book, how long do you think such a work would have survived? I don't know, I'm just surmising here.

But I do know the Bible is inerrant, it is filled with fulfilled prophecy and is corroborated by secular historical writings by such contemporary authors as Josephus, archeological and geophysical findings, new ones all the time.
