Loving Angels of a Good God Help To Rescue Beloved Dog. Gods Hand Shows His Healing Power With A Miracle
God spelled backwoods Dog
Many of my readers may recognize this dog on the right. This is Rocco. He belongs to my youngest daughter, Abby. He is around 16 months old by now. When Rocco first came around as a young pup I exclaimed how grateful I was that I was not raising another dog in my home. Abby had moved out months before. I told her, 'he is darling but do not expect your momma to help raise him. I have had my fair share of raising puppies.' In fact I avoided his cute little face when he did come around because I think I sensed some writing on the wall. Abby was obviously hooked on Rocco. I thought of the times I moved home after I moved out.
God is the heart softener. As much as I wanted to not fall for this adventurous, enthusiastic, rascal of a dog over time and in spite of myself, Rocco and I bonded. 'Oh, Precious Lord let me never underestimate your power again!' Regardless that he has been a 'royal pain' he has been an immense Blessing in my life.
So much was going on in my life at this time God used Rocco to help keep me laughing, walking, running, writing, helping others, out of self, healthy, active, spiritually and emotionally fit. I learned not to take myself too seriously. I laughed and learned not be so hard on myself. I certainly prayed and exercised more. I was like a little kid with a big toy. God meant Rocco to be in our lives for a reason. Abby had to move back home for a time. It meant in my thinking I was stuck. You see that was my thinking. We are what we think, are we not? Think stuck, stay stuck. Choose to see the Blessing, Be Blessed. 'God can turn All things for the good for those that love Him.' Philippians 4:4
God is or He is not. He is all or He is nothing. He is everywhere in everything or He is not. There was no mistake Rocco was to be here. Abby and Rocco are a perfect match along with her baby boy, Jayce and her hubby, Matt. If I had gone shopping to pick her a dog, trust me it would not have been a Rocco. Shows me again, what do I know? I know GOD is Love and promises to care for 'His Children.' God never breaks His Word. He knows what He is doing. In all of time, He is the same God yesterday, today and tomorrow.
I have often wondered when Adam was assigned to name the animals by God that when it was time to name this awesome creation Adam must have thought this animal needs to be named after My God. So 'Dog' it was. Named after our Beautiful, Immeasurable God, Himself. 'God spelled backwoods' in the English language. Just a bit of food for fun although I tend to believe it was truly on the heart of Adam. God has a sense of humor and loves All His creation. The animals are His for His purpose and Glory and He Blessed us with them. Praise God, He is certainly clever, colorful, bright, and amazing put mildly, in His design. He is Unmeasurable Love in All things.
There is much truth to the saying, 'Dog is mans best friend.' He certainly will watch for your back, given he is trained to be a good, loving dog. My little guy Benji 15 years at the time was content with a little walk to the sidewalk and back in for food and sleep. I could cry and woe is me and he loved me so and listened and stood by my side. Benji understood. He is so precious and a bit low key. All understandable for his age. So never say never because one never knows what may come on the path in God's perfect plan. God has plans and they do not always meet up with ours. Guess what? His plans take precedence and when He calls something to come to pass, that it does.
Our Sovereign Lord and Saviour oh how very Blessed are we, to have such a loving ,merciful Father who does not throw mud balls back at me. Praise God.
So what is this leading up to? I debated, then decided not to debate and pray if I should write a miracle story that happened last night with Rocco. In prayer I knew this is All for the Glory of God not about me or a story but truth in the Love of God. This is a story about our Sovereign, Majestic, Glorious, Miracle working Omniscient God. The Creator of All creatures that move, shine, wiggle, jiggle or fly, it is all His. God sits on the throne, He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
In humility and gratitude I share this story with you. Our grandson Jayce has not been up to par this week with a sinus infection and pink eye. He is now 6 months old. He laughs and laughs at his pal, Rocco. He is mesmerized by this large animal. The animal knows this baby is priority and has the baby's back covered. It is amazing the instinct that God gave to His animals where babies are concerned. Abby text ed me as we were leaving Church Saturday evening. Daddy had gone to work and she was feeling a bit overwhelmed, saying the baby had been crying for over an hour. But of course Nana and Papa were cruising on over and their home was right on the course.
We get there and Jayce just woke from a short snooze and he was all smiles. I could tell the little guy was not up to par, yet. I had Jayce wrapped in a blanket and we went outside to the front porch swing. Rocco followed us outdoors. David and Abby were in and out. After ten minutes or so I went back inside. I forgot one thing, Rocco. He will usually show up soon if he wanders off. About one half and hour later David went out front. It then occurred to Abby and I Rocco was not here.
Within moments Rocco is at the front door and David is behind him. Rocco looked beaten, dazed, and confused like he had been hit with a hammer. Oh My God, I knew something terrible had.happened. My heart fell to my knees. Abby teared up. David told us he had just witnessed Rocco and he had been run over. There is a busy street that runs east and west about one half block down. Rocco was on the northwest side of the street. He saw David and came running. An SUV hit his left side and it sent Rocco over the hood of the vehicle onto his left side. David thought Rocco was a 'dead dog' He said in seconds so many thoughts came rushing through his head like, 'where will I lay him, how am I going to tell Abby and Nana, Jayce will miss him.'
The SUV stopped abruptly. The car behind the SUV slammed on their brakes.to stop in time. In what David exclaimed, 'was nothing short of a miracle.' Rocco stood before David got to him. He managed to get himself to the front door while David nudged him along. David stood there momentarily shocked, behind Rocco at the front door. The cars moved along after they saw the dog was up. I am sure these people were a little weak in the knees, to say the least. Oh Sweet Lord Bless the drivers of these vehicles with extra favor.
There is no doubt in my heart that at precisely the right second at least one of God's Angels moved in and slowed down the SUV or Rocco or all of the above. An accident with serious injuries had been prevented. This brought to my heart the times Gods Angels kept me from harm or injury, many I know of and I am sure many I do not know of. Oh, Omniscient God I sing sweet songs to you. 'I shall give my Angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.' Psalm 91
I sat on the floor and Rocco laid his head on my lap. Abby sat by his rear legs. David went to touch him and he whimpered then growled. He was a hurting boy. We did not know what might be broken. Abby crying said, 'Mamma what am I going to do'? She knew the answer. We prayed. We put our hands on Rocco. We petted and prayed and cried. David kept the baby occupied, Bless his loving heart. We felt Rocco's left thigh and it was hot to the touch and the swelling was getting larger. His left fron paw came back down limp and lifeless, when I picked it up. I reminded our God He is the Miracle worker and we needed His touch now, in the name of 'Jesus Christ.' He created Dogs. He could heal dogs. He gave us authority as 'His Children' to lay hands on the sick. Mark 16:17
About 20 minutes went by. Abby was in tears, sobbing. I assured her, 'God heard our prayer.' Sobbing she said, 'yes momma, I know He heard.' David brought water for Rocco, he took a few sips. In about one minute Rocco literally sat up. We all gazed at him and were stunned and amazed. I asked Rocco if he wanted a treat. He literally walked to the kitchen door, his tail wagging as we all sat frozen. He stood there and looked at me waiting until I could move from my 'state.'
In Praise and Adoration we all started thanking God, Jayce was smiling and laughing with us. Rocco has a scratched nose as a reminder and a tender thigh. His paw moves back and forth as it is meant to do. His back thigh was not swollen or hot to the touch any longer. He was not in pain, nothing broken. No one was hurt in a car accident. Oh Praise you sweet Jesus. I do not think any one of us will forget what God did for us. Glory Be. This is nothing we did nor deserve but our God is Great. We deserve mud pie because we are sinners, our Wondrous God took our sin for us. Jesus shed His own Blood so we could have eternal life and abundant living in the world we live through Him. John 10:10
Please never underestimate the authority God gave to His Children in the Name of Jesus. This was the hand of God and a living testimony about our saving, precious, healing, wonderful God. He loves All His creation. He is not short of miracles. He is not short of hearing your cry. He is calling out to the World. He is knocking on doors around the World.
'I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with me.' Revelation 3:20
People please, if you do not know of this Love of God then ask Jesus, God's only begotten Son into your heart as the Lord and Savior of your life. Repent of your sin and be forgiven. God is all knowing, all good, and in all things. He is worthy to be praised. Is He knocking on your door of your heart right now? There is no other way. He is the one way to Eternal Life. John 3:16
Do not let the enemy take you down. He has already been defeated by Jesus Christ. Satan hates that God loved us so much He sent His son to die a brutal horrific death on the Cross to cover for our sins. If you have not made the decision to invite Jesus in, remember this you never know what could come on the path in the next hour or day or week. We never know so get ready for your eternal home here while there is time. God loves all HIs Creation He only wants your love.
DO not be ashamed of Our GOD, lest he deny you. Please, be made righteous in God through His son, Jesus Christ. You will have nothing to loose but misery. You will become a new Creature in Jesus Christ, off with the old and on with the new. Be adopted into Gods family choose to be 'A Child of God' Your life will change forever, for all of eternity you will see the Light.
May Jehovah-jireh watch over you and yours and Bless you Always and Forever.
In His Name Jesus Christ.
