Energy Vampires

Updated on February 12, 2014

Do you believe?

I am always interested in the odd or the paranormal and I found this has both of those things. I have always been interested in the paranormal since I would say the age of about 5 when I realized there was something odd about some of these people I could see. I have tried to remember what I was doing when I heard the term “energy vampire” but cannot remember, but I tried to find whatever I could about them, Enjoy!

An energy vampire is not your typical stereotyped vampire, garlic and wooden stakes cannot help you here. This vampire is a parasite in spirit form. It feeds not on blood but on its victim energy or possibly their soul. It is said that if an energy vampire has decided you are going to be its host you will become more and more exhausted even after a good night’s rest. The life force is said to be drawn from the victim’s body, causing them to feel weaker and disorientated and utterly exhausted. It is said this can go on for years and can cause the death of the victim.

When I tried to do research on this, there was little to be found that seemed relevant to the topic. I thought perhaps people were just confusing this energy vampire with incubi or a succubus as they seem to have sort of the same essential characteristics, but from talking to a few others, it is not considered the same as there are slight differences.

An energy vampire is said to be extremely hard to get rid of as they have a tendency to stick like glue to their victims and seem to sense when the victim is trying to rid itself of them. “Soul-sucker” is a term I heard bandied about when it comes to the energy vampire and also that assistance in most cases will be needed to remove this vampire. It is also highly imperative that the victim once the vampire is removed to use wards and other items of protection to ensure the energy vampire does not return.

Totally fascinating stuff, if anyone else has ever heard of this phenomenon and has any other information I would be grateful. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and come back again sometime. Blessed Be!
