My Disneyland Fall Favorites
It is no secret that fall is my absolute favorite time of year. I know that it sounds crazy because I live in Southern California and not only is it hot here the first half of the fall season but we also don't get that foliage change until mid-November. I will say that I am very good at finding ways of enjoying fall with out the cold weather and the leaves changing. One of those ways is going to Disneyland! I love going to Disneyland during the fall and I have things that I do specifically during that season. I thought I would share with you all of my favorite things to do during the fall season at Disneyland. If you frequent Disneyland and love going in the fall too, I would love to hear what your favorite things to do there as well!
1. The pumpkins along Main Street.
I feel like this is really repetitive from my other fall Hubs but it honestly is my favorite part about Disneyland during this time of year. I look forward to seeing all of these pumpkins along Main Street. It literally puts me in the best mood and puts a smile on my face all day long! I spend a good amount of time looking at them and I really do appreciate that every single carved pumpkin is different.
2. Getting a Pumpkin Spice Latte.
There are one of two ways that I do this. If I get to the park early and it for some miracle is a cool day I will go to the Starbucks on Main Street and order a Pumpkin Spice Latte. I will look at the pumpkins while I sip away at my delicious beverage. The other way I enjoy this (which is the usual way) is I get a Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino on the way out of the park. I usually get one and look at the shops while I enjoy the ac and head home.
3. Fall foliage and window displays on Main Street
While I am on Main Street I also love to look at all the fall leaves that are put up to decorate the lamp posts and window displays. This really makes it feel like fall to me and I'm not going to lie, I get really excited about it! I mean, it is Southern California and there are yellow, orange, and red leaves EVERYWHERE! I can't get better than that!
4. Mickey Jack-O-Lantern.
Probably the most notable thing on Main Street is the giant jack-o-lantern shaped like Mickey. I have to get a picture every year in front of it. I also love that the two sides are different!
5. The Haunted Mansion takeover.
I love when they change over the Haunted Mansion for Halloween/Christmas! I am a Tim Burton fan and love Nightmare Before Christmas. This ride is the cutest thing and I actually feel like it is better for children during this time of year because it isn't as "scary". One of my favorite parts of this ride is the gingerbread house inside of the banquet hall. It always smells so delicious and it is different every year!
6. The Halloween Tree in Frontierland.
This tree is another thing that I have to see every year. I don't know why but I love it! It is so cute to look at it during the day because you really get to see all the faces on the pumpkins but I also love seeing it at night because it has orange and purple lights on it.
7. Halloween themed caramel apples.
I think Disneyland has the best caramel apples! Every year during the Halloween season they always come out with super cute designs. This year I brought home a Minnie witch apple and I brought home the Evil Queen's poisoned apple for my mom.
8. Ghost Galaxy.
Ghost Galaxy is the only other ride that changes during this time of year in the park. There is a ghost that takes over the galaxy and chases you through the cosmos. It is so fun and it definitely puts me in the halloween spirit! I especially love doing something goofy for the picture at the end.
9. Characters on tram ride into the park.
This is the only time of year where there are characters outside the park to welcome you. They are dressed in their Halloween best and there are plenty of pumpkins too! I think it is the cutest thing ever and have to ride the tram every year (every time really) that I go so I can see it.
10. Wearing Halloween ears.
These are my favorite ears that I own and I wear them every time I come in the fall! I like that the pattern is subtle but they are super cute up close with the webs and the spiders.
I hope you get the chance to enjoy this fall season even if you can't make it to Disneyland. I try to make the most out of September, October, and November because I miss the fall when it is spring and summer. What do you guys do to enjoy your fall season?
