Walt Disney World is not only a world-class destination and resort where you can experience great dining and exciting theme parks, it is also becoming home to many exciting and fun festivals throughout the year.

Every spring, the beautiful theme park EPCOT comes alive with topiaries and magnificent flower beds and creations.

Guests can truly feel that spring is in the air. The Flower and Garden festival also offers special events, seminars, hands on experiences, concerts and extra food booths.

Sounds Like Summer is a fun event in the middle of those warm and humid summer nights. Cover bands from a variety of music styles play crowd-pleasing favorites on select days.

There are usually three concerts a night with extra concerts planned for Fourth of July celebration.

Popular bands fill up fast and lines may start forming an hour or more ahead of time. So head over there early if you want to enjoy the band.

If you are a Star Wars fan, you are in for a real treat during the summer. For just four weekends, Disney's Hollywood Studios comes alive with all things Star Wars.

There are parades, special shows, exclusive souvenirs, and photo opportunities with your favorite Star Wars characters.

This event is a packed day full of fun for the whole family and every weekend is a little bit different.

In the early fall, just as school is getting back underway and the air is beginning to cool down, the Magic Kingdom opens up its park for a very special event. The Night of Joy invites popular Christian Contemporary artists to take the stage.

Select, popular rides and attractions are also open during the event which usually runs until midnight or later.

If you are a fan of Christian Contemporary music and the latest, popular bands, then you'll want to plan to attend this event.

One of the premiere events during the year is the Food and Wine Festival. Celebrities and guests come from all over the world to sample the International food and the award winning wines.

This event has proven to be so popular that in 2014 Walt Disney World announced an unprecedented extra week.

This event is busy but well worth the trip and the wait.

Note: Festival of Masters has been cancelled for 2014 because of construction at Downtown Disney.

This festival always draws interesting vendors and a large and diverse crowd. The purpose of the festival is to showcase individual's art and most pieces are for sale.

You can choose from paintings, photographs, sculptures, weavings, mixed media art and more. Many times the artist is there to answers questions and sign artwork.

This event is fun for those that like to browse as well as the serious art collector.

While there are many Christmas activities around all four Walt Disney World theme parks, one special event that only happens during the holidays is the Candlelight Processional.

Duriong the processional a combined choir with hundreds of singers, sings traditional Christmas tunes while a narrator reads the Christmas Story from the Bible.

This event is very popular and many stand in line for hours to attend. There is also always a celebrity narrator present.
