Despite the dire economic climate, 2009 is hoped to shape  up as a good year for amusement and theme park visitors in the United States. Many of the Theme parks have added new rides and attractions in their parks. Here are the "Top 10 New Theme Rides and Attractions In USA 2009".

1. Manta Flying Coaster - SeaWorld, Orlando, Florida

Manta flying roller coaster will soar to 140 feet, swoop at speeds reaching 56 mph through four inversions, and splash through a lagoon with a wingtip-dip maneuver that has thrill-ride enthusiasts salivating. Before boarding the ride, visitors walk through a queue featuring 10 floor-to-ceiling aquariums.

2. Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit - Universal Studios, Orlando, Florida

It is billed as the world’s highest vertical lift coaster. This custom-designed attraction will feature an on-board sound system to provide a soundtrack for the 3,800 foot roller coaster track, as well as video cameras to record the experience. Universal Studios in Orlando just released plans and animations of their new ride, the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, a state-of-the-art roller coaster ride with all sorts of new features. The Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit represents the newest, most cutting edge technology in roller coaster design. I have no doubt that it will live up to its hype. Universal Studios has come up with excellent rides before and this will be their best ever - Can't wait to get on it.

3. American Idol Experience - Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Orlando

The American Idol Experience  offers you the chance to watch, perform and vote for favorite singers. The excitement unfolds before your eyes. This exhilarating attraction features all the glitz and glamour of the hit television series' stunning set, and gives you an opportunity to experience the thrill as if really at the show.

4. Diamondback Steel Coaster - Kings Island, Cincinnati

Diamondback will be a Bolliger & Mabillard hyper coaster that will offer a high-speed ride with many drops and lots of airtime. Diamondback will be a massive new coaster ride at 5,280 feet long. It consists of 10 drops over 100 feet and speeds reaching 80 mph along a mile-long track.

5. Terminator Salvation Wooden Coaster - Six Flags Magic Mountain, Valencia, California

The Ride offers movie tie-in visual effects and a loading station fly-through. This 2,850-foot long wooden coaster stands ten stories and reaches speeds of up to 55 miles-per-hour.
