Should John Terry be stripped of his England Captaincy after recent allegations of an affair?

The captain of the england soccer team recently was exposed on having an affair with one of his team mates wife. There is now talk on whether he should remain the captain of England. What do you think?

Well Capello just answered that one for us didn't he. In a lot of other jobs a similar indiscretion would lead to a similar punishment (or probably worse, like losing the job completely), so taking into account his profile and the fact that he's a role model to thousands of kids, it's probably the right decision.

We'll still win the World Cup...

We know the answer now but I disagree with what's been done. I think it should have been up to the players to choose, they are the ones "led by the captain," and I have an inkling that the vast majority would have stood by him. Rio's hardly too much better if you want to go by role models, having just recently elbowed someone in the face, and appealed his innocence, haha.

By the way, I have a weekly english football review that everyones welcome to have a read. Offers weird and wonderful stats along with opinions and weekly segments such as goal of the week.

I agree with Stan's Stats , the private matters of players not to be considered in his career
