What do you think:  Lebron said "it's about damn time" per winning a championship.

Did you notice Lebron's answer "It's about damn time" to Stuart Scott's question "what is it like to finally win a championship?"  He said this in the awards ceremony at the end of the championship game.  First of all, he should not have said damn.  Granted damn is a low level curse word but still....with many millions of people watching.  The bigger thing though is with his reply he sounded entitled per winning a championship.  No one is entitled!  Many great players have never won a title i.e. Stockton, Malone, R. Miller... The smell of entitlement seemed odd to me.  I am not a Lebron hater.

I don't like lebron, but he said that right  AFTER  he won the championship. So I think his achievement justifies the statement. Basketball fans will watch him with awe, but not with the respect granted to Stockton and Malone, whose only fault was that they were playing in the Jordan era.

I guess after years of frustrations with the media and some close calls it was more of a relief thing in a way.

I'm not a Lebron fan, but him saying its about damn time is just a sign of how much he expects from himself and that he's not satisfied with anything less that a championship, for himself and the team. I don't think his comment was a big deal and if anything should show how what kind of athlete he is. This is coming from his biggest critic too.

      Thanks pmanpartyman,

Voted up.  Perhaps I was reading too much into his comments---in fact I hope I was.
