Will anyone ever break nine seconds in the 100 meter sprint? Or is it beyond the realms of humans
It could be that if more sprinters of the physical calibre of Usain Bolt are born and raised and trained then I'd imagine 9 seconds could be broken in two or three generation's time.
Bolt is taller than most of the average sprinters around at present yet he retains power in his leg muscles and has the technique to keep pumping. His long striding steps cover incredible distances. A few more young men like Bolt coming through would definitely lower the time, but it would happen gradually, say over three or four decades.
